We Finally Meet?

Lucan's POV

I enjoy my day like any other of course, and that was of course staying in the office doing paperwork. Although I was not king, I help my uncle out with the work because Loupe was never one for it. As I was barring myself to get into the meat of the paperwork Loupe bursts into the office furiously.

"What brings you into the office this furiously cousin?" I said curiously.

"My mate is depressed! I feel as if she's crying! Come with me to find her!"

I raise a brow at my cousin wrapping my arms around one another saying, "Ah! So the lady's man has finally decided to settle down huh?"

My cousin rolled his eyes and said, "Come, come! There's a girl I want you to meet anyways. You might like her she's new! And beautiful I must say. If it weren't for my lovely mate I would of already had a taste."

"Cousin, you should stop trying to match make. It's not going to work. You should know this. Enough already." I said, but was still had an interest on who on earth the dimwit was trying to hook me up with this time. His match making skills of his were honestly the best. THE best.

"No, no, no! I have a good feeling about this one! She has this aura about her."

"That's what you always say idiot! I'm not going. I've got work to do here."

Loupe sulks and hung his head down but then quickly brought it up.

"How about we make a deal?"

"A deal?"

"Yes. If she is your mate. I get something from you."

I raise a brow and thought, what could it be? What would he want something from me? He was the one with everything while I was the one with nothing.

"What is it you want Loupe?"

Loupe smirked and said, "I want my throne back cousin. You see... Father doesn't want to hand it over to me because you're much more suited for the job, but I know you wanna go back home to rule your own kingdom and not worry about two... So deal?"

I smirk at my cousin and said, "You could have your throne cousin that was never a problem with me but I'm not leaving, I cannot go back home yet."

With the both of us in search mode we went through the hallways, gardens, ball rooms, pools, kitchens, dining rooms, and towers, but came out empty.

"Where could she be?"

Seriously? Follow the mate bond idiot! Delphic shouts making Loupe suddenly remember and sprint down the hallway into the royal sleeping chambers.

Why would she be here? I thought. Then the most intoxicating scent filled my nose again! I hungrily follow my nose and senses. Delphic was on full alert and whining inside of my mind. Right when I got to a white door I noticed it was a right next door to my room. Odd? Why didn't I notice this before? Loupe quickly bolts through the door at full speed without a care in the world about who's room it was or what they were doing. When I finally gain my senses I walk into the room to face Melony and that beautiful young lady that I was thinking about all day today. Stood right in front of my face. Right when I was about to rush to her she went out the door leaving me speechless.

Astheum's POV

I took off! I ran out the room like a firecracker on the Fourth of July! By the time I caught a breath and began to settle down, I realize I was outside in the garden. The moon was full tonight and it lead me to a beautiful water fountain. The rose hedges made it easier to conceal myself. I sat at the edge of the water fountain and lightly flicking the water. Watching the moon make the water glisten.

"You know you're quite hard to find don't you?"

I turn around and there was the man I've been thinking about. The man I only saw once and I've been thinking ever since.

"Mate..." I whisper.

In a flash he was by me running his fingers through my hair, leaning into the crook of my neck inhaling my scent. His red eyes glistening, illuminating lust and desire. The way the moon gave a shadow his face was breathtaking and I was speechless. If the darkness made him look this good, I'd definitely say that darkness was his element. It suited him to a "T."

"You. Smell. So. Good."

He said and lightly nipping at my neck.

"Who are you?" I said confused.

"I am Lucan Crepuscule and you are?"

"Astheum Lustrous."

Lucan and I rose a brow at one another. Lightly releasing me from his grip to slowly extend his hand out. I smile meekly and accept his hand enjoying the sparks, tingles, and electricity that was coercing through my body. He starts to guide me through the maze of the rose hedges and I quietly follow behind him, watching his rough muscular body guide me around the maze. His shoulders were huge and powerful, his frame was built and sturdy. I squeeze his hand a little and he sighs saying, "Why did you run?"

I look down at the ground unable to say anything. Soon I felt him stop and I could barely catch myself from tripping over a root that stuck out of the rose bush. Closing my eyes and preparing myself to fall I did not hit the cool ground like I was anticipating. I felt warmth. Slowly opening my eyes Lucan was holding my waist smiling at me.

"I won't let you fall sweetheart, when you're with me I'll always catch you."

I could feel my cheeks turn deep red thanking the darkness in aiding with hiding my embarrassment.

"Thank you Lucan. I'm so sorry for my clumsiness."

Lucan lifts my face so I could face him and says, "No need to be shy dear. I love the way you blush."

I smile and hug him to cover the obvious embarrassment all over my face.

"Why is it that you ran away from me?"

His deep voice rang next to my ear again causing a slight shiver to run down my spine.

"I'm afraid I'm not good enough for you." I said hesitantly.

Lucan frowned and held my face up to his saying, "You're beautiful. The most beautifulest woman I've ever seen and laid eyes upon. I've been here for many millenniums and have been waiting forever just to be with you and you did not fail to depress me. You've done quite the opposite dear."

Once again I blush uncontrollably and Lilia begs to come out. I ran my fingers through the grass and lean against the tree's trunk snuggling into Lucan.

"The moon is breathtaking tonight is it not Lucan?"

Lucan smiled and leaned his head on top of mine saying, "Yes it is, but you're even more breathtaking than the moon."

I look around at the garden, but it was no longer a garden, but a field full of little flowers in bloom while a huge Sakura tree stood in the center of it. The moon causing the tree to glow and the pink petals to glow almost silver in color.

"How did you find this place?" I ask.

He chuckles and said, "This place is actually mine. I made it."

I slowly look at his face and notice he was staring at me. His gaze was solely on me and his eyes held so many thoughts and emotions behind it.

"It's beautiful."

"Thank you."

He said while tightening his grip on me. "Sleep dear."

Was all I could make out before my eyes slowly shut because of the warmth and happiness I was feeling. My heart felt full, complete, satisfied, and I was completely fine with that. I found my mate and he is everything a girl could ask for.
