Suzanna's POV

"Fairies, mermaids, witches, wizards, werewolves, and vampires! Suz! Oh how I adore the supernatural! What if they're real?"
Christina shouted at me while flung her so called, "fairy stick" at me.
Of course. Me being me, I rolled my eyes and continued to dig through the pile of clothes for an outfit.
"Are you even listening to me Suz?!"
"Of course I am Chrissy.."
I reached into dig through the huge wooden box once more.
"Seriously! You're not even listening to me! Ergh! I'm out of here have fun finding your dress!"
Thunderous stomps were heard throughout the house until my lovely friend Chrissy, exited.
"She'll be back."
I whispered to myself shrugging it off.

Oh well where are my manners? I'm Suzanna Cook and I reside in Remus Kingdom. I am just your ordinary girl. Now, you may think I am popular, but honestly I'm quite the opposite. Christina or Chrissy, I like to call her, is a green eyed red headed girl with plenty of attitude to burn up an entire town- do not, I repeat not take that lightly. Me on the other hand, I am the extreme opposite. I am so quiet I probably could slip past a lion in his slumber but enough about us, today is the annual masquerade ball. Now to be honest, it will be the last ball Chrissy and I will be able to attend because we are now of age, eighteen. The sole reason people go to these events are an attempt to find their lover or their "soulmate" some like to call it. Honestly though, Chrissy and I have been able to attend since the ripe age of fourteen. And still to this day... No luck...

Many of our closest friends found their other half and gushed about the sparks, the tingles- the feeling of understanding that they've found the one, but Chrissy and I haven't had that luck. Now, don't get me wrong! We've had our fair share of men interested in us, but there he's just been no zing on our end. There was no longing inside of us that our friends so persistently stressed upon. Chrissy also continues to nag at me about a fairy that she has seen with her very own eyes, but let's think rationally now. Fairies existing? That is a definite no, sometimes I call her crazy and she gets upset and yells that I would never understand her, but eventually she gets over it.

Checking back into reality, I scavenge through the box. It felt like forever until my fingers brush against something unlike any other material previously, it was extremely soft. Grabbing a hold of the item and pulling it out I found a beautiful dress. The dress was light pink with specks of shimmering gold on it. Talk about breathtaking! I had the perfect image of what I wanted to look like for the last masquerade party I could attend.

"Oh goodness that's Suz! That dress is beautiful! Where did you find that? I swear you will look like a princess in that!"
Chrissy said gawking at me.
Laughing at her and slipping on the dress, it fit me perfectly.

"Well there it goes! Call it fate or whatever, but seriously that looks stunning on you!"

Smiling at my beautiful friend in the mirror I said,

"I'll meet you at the ball Chrissy."

Christina smiling and nodding happily dashed outside the attic door then out the house. Getting a closer view of the dress. You could see that it was long and soft, light pink with a slight gold shimmer, a sweetheart neckline, gems encrusted on the the bust area, light rousing around the waist and went into a slight mermaid puff at the bottom. Slowly walking down to my room my father saw me. His face beaming he said,

"When your mother found out she was having a girl... She hand made that dress. Just for you. Now look at you all grown up and going to go find a young man."
