This is War!

Lucan's POV

I woke up lounging out of bed ripping the curtains open wide open. Light, was the first thing I saw. I haven't seen the actual sun in three months and a couple days.

"Duchan!" I shout. I could feel my penthouse vibrating and echoing at my demand.

Duchan was in my room in less than five seconds saying, "Yes my Lord?"

"She's here I dreamt of her. It wasn't the past, but the present and I could touch her, feel her, smell her. She looked so divine. Duchan."

I could see him glance at the portrait I drew of her and he said, "I know she is. I'm excited to finally meet her where is she?"

My heart stopped I forgot to ask the most vital question where in the bloody world, where was she?

Shut up Delp! You wee just as excited as I was. It's good to finally have you back mate.

Soon I felt a sharp pain in my arm. I wince at the inflicting pain it gave me even though I knew there was nothing going on with me. Duchan quickly came to aid but no sooner than it came, it left. All I felt was dizziness.

"What was that?"

Duchan looks at me like he did not want to say it.

"Duchan!"

"It was her pain! Her pain was inflicted on you!" Duchan said wincing afraid I was going to hit him.

That was when me and Delphic lost it I was out for blood. But how could I find her when I had no idea where to start? But it clicked, follow the scent, follow the link and it lead me to school? My school, the very school that I go to! Why didn't I go to school yesterday?! The scent though faint lead us on a trail. It had a gas smell mixing with hers; like a vehicle or something. There was another fishy smell mixing with it and it had me on edge. Soon we were pulling up to a house that was hidden from the rest of town, but still very prestige in its image and exterior.

With the special honors I walk into the house without sounding any alarms. As I begin walking in Hunter and I could detect two smells. One of  the smells was Astheum and the other was of another woman. Hunter ran up the stairs and we enter a room. I couldn't tell who's room it was but I knew from the aroma alone it was her room. Hunter lead me to a spot on the floor where a pile of blood was found. The blood was gold, pure gold and I knew that I had to go for blood! Whoever did this would pay with death and the best death possible, pain.

"Hunter can you track down where she is from here?"

Then boom I felt a smack on my cheek.
What the heck?! Who dares to smack my beautiful ASTHEUM!
They deserve DEATH! Delphic said grinning.

I could not help, but smile in return and nod. We have too much pent up anger and sadness in our heart let us take it out on those who inflicted this pain on out mate huh?
Sounds like a plan Lucan.

"I found her scent. It was hard to track because it was so faint. There were a lot of detours and tricks. It seems like whoever took her made sure we wouldn't be able to find her, but since you're her mate, that made it slightly easier." Hunter said.

"Good let's go then Hunter." I replied back, but before I left. I reach into her wardrobe and pull out some clothing for her to wear once I rescue her.

"Let's go find her!"

The whole ride there felt like ages and there were definitely traps everywhere. Even in the most obvious places! Hunter was the best tracker and ground expert to sniff out any traps before our team would fall into one. Then before we knew we where at the base. Now, it was not just any base, it was a scientific base. Delphic was fighting and wrestling me to let him go, but I had to remind him that if we reveal ourselves too early we could die and Astheum would die. That explanation alone was enough to calm his anxiety and pace back and forth inside my mind.

"What does it look like inside Duchan."
I said as I saw him rustle out of a bush and squat next to me.

"I scouted the entire area there are traps everywhere on the outside of the base. The inside is a labyrinth and the only map they have is."
Duchan said rusting through his bag and pulling it out the layout was huge! Before I could get a good look at it I felt like a thousand needles injecting into my skin and it had had a sure way of making the needles stay deep and intact inside of me. I groan in pain as I could feel Astheum's emotions and pain. At this point she could be anywhere in the laboratory and time was something we did not have. Her pain was setting me on fire and I knew these sore of a losers of a human would die a meaningless death because of the pain they were causing her.

"Besides this map there are computers, but it should be down in less than six minutes. I've got a couple of the Head Des to come on this mission they were willing to help the New Queen. Taking down the men will be easy they can't see us, but we can see them. If they can see us and hurt us that makes it even more fun to hurt them." Duchan said smiling at me.

I nod and say, "Hunter can you get a group of the hounds to go with you and sniff out Astheum. If there are any other supernaturals there tell us immediately. Got it?"

Hunter signals the hounds and soon twelve more dogs appear. I held out Astheum's clothing and they sniff her scent in, no sooner than they appear they leave.

"Now we wait. Until the dogs call for us."
Duchan said smiling. Death is in the air.

And I could testify to that because blood was something that I was craving for. Patience, patience. But it broke when I heard her broken voice echo into my mind, Lucan... Please... Save... Meee...

And I cringe at the sound, everything went black. I lift my head at the dogs signal to them saying, "This is war!"
