-Freddie isn't here goodbye!
Jim tried to close the door but unfortunately for him Winnie didn't intempt to let go the affaire, he only need one hand to hold the door and push it in the opposite direction. The Irishman stepped back and was now face to face with the singer's ex and he hadn't lied to him, the Germain was actually taller and seemed more aggressive than him. Winnie watched him from the head to feet and sneered.
-So you're the one who trying to steal my stallion from me?
-I don't steal from anyone, said Jim politely. Freddie come to me and not the contrary.
-Really? I must to say anyway that I'm impressed to see a stranger look me so seriously in the eye, smiled Winnie.
The Germain walked in the house and without any discomfort went to sit on the sofa. Unimpressed Jim did the same, he wasn't acting out of pride or recklessness but just because he was at home.
-So chap, you weren't expecting me to land here did you, asked Winnie in a relaxed tone.
-More or less...I more expected Freddie to come home this morning, sighed Jim.
-Hehe you don't know him very well my poor friend! When he has a drunken night he never come home for the next hour, on that you can believe me, he added mischievously.
Jim somehow agreed with him but he knew full well that with exes the slightest blow was allowed. This time he was going to have to keep a low profile.
-Were you by any chance with Freddie last night, he said calmly.
-I fell on him by chance indeed and honestly he looked oddly perky to me.
-He was probably drunk...and what did you talk about, Jim continued to urge the other man to speak.
-We didn't really talk because he seemed more than determined to have a three-way, laughed proudly Winnie.
So there was really the word too much, the Irishman's teeth tightened on his lips. Viktor might have lied to him yesterday but now the pieces of the puzzle seemed to come together; the rockstar was definitely in this club and must have cheated on him. It was all the harder to swallow as Winnie didn't seem to end it here.
-I'll tell you the truth, he murmured in his ear. I know for a fact that Freddie cheated on me more than once when he was starting to leave me; if you don't keep him on a leash he's unable to be faithful.
Jim shaked and took a deep breath before replied.
-Listen...I've seen enough movies to know what's going on when two men fight over the same person...
-It's a convenient, exclamed the Germain shrugging.
-But know one thing: if Freddie decided to go back to you I wouldn't interfer. It is up to him to make his choice, these words had been chosen meticulously.
Jim had taken a neutral voice in the hope of not making the situation worse and apparently Winnie seemed to have believe his story.
-Well you seem to be a humble man, well...for an Irishman, he giggled patting his shoulder. But know that I'm familiar with Freddie for a long time, there is no point fighting for his love.
His interlocutor immediately recognized the macho tone, he even wondered how his boyfriend had been in love with him. Maybe he was a different man at time or maybe he hadn't changed? After a few minutes the door opened, it was Freddie and Joe. Such was their surprise when they saw Jim with the singer's ex.
-Speaking of the devil, said the Germain getting up from the sofa. My little Joe I really miss you!
-Huh...hi Winnie, whispered the young man embarrassed.
