Remember Me Like Yesterday

"Bae Joohyun!"

Joohyun slowly turned around to where the voice came from. A curve in her lips automatically formed when she saw Seulgi with two orders of grapefruit tea in her hands. She put it on the table where she is currently seated.

"Here it is. My treat."

"Yeah, thanks."

Joohyun immediately gets the other one and drinks it to cope with the nervousness that her body is starting to form. But it looks like it just helps her a little.

"Are you ready?" Seulgi asked her. She looks worried just by looking at Irene's reaction.

Joohyun stopped drinking. Functioning every possible answer she can make. She would be totally lying to herself and to Seulgi if she says that she is okay, that there's nothing to worry about.

"I see. You're still nervous." Seulgi already knows the answer even if she doesn't say a word. Joohyun felt Seulgi hold her hand and she smiled. "I will be here after you come back."

Joohyun looked at her. After all these years, she is thankful that she still has a great friend to lean on.

"Bae Joohyun!"

Joohyun slowly looked at the back where a familiar voice came from. She saw how Seulgi struggled just to pass through to students who are also going to their own class. Her friend is smiling so widely while waving at her. Joohyun lifted her hand to wave hello, too.

"Be careful." She warned her friend knowing how clumsy the girl is. Seulgi managed to grab her arm without tripping in the hallway.

"Waah! Unnie, what is your class?"

They are now both walking together in the hallway. "I'm in 2-B."

Her eyes widened and her mouth formed an 'O'. "Really? We were in the same class then. I'm so glad." Seulgi is so excited that she is shaking Joohyun's arm so much.

Joohyun smiled while pinching Seulgi's cheeks. "Really? That'll be good then."

Joohyun remembered when they became close in their first year of high school. Seulgi, as the usual extrovert she is, is the one who first approached Joohyun even though she doesn't talk that much. She is an introverted person and she only talks when she needs to. People will be the ones who approach her more than she approaches them.

"Oh! That's our room."

Joohyun looked at where Seulgi pointed. Due to excitement, she immediately pulled her then they were about to enter their room when a girl was walking behind the teacher passing by them. Seulgi and Joohyun greeted her before she proceeded to the room next to them. Joohyun didn't know the reason but her heart suddenly skipped when the girl's eyes and hers met.

"Unnie, let's sit together."

Joohyun almost jumped when Seulgi just talked. She just space out so she just nodded.

"O-okay."

Then before Joohyun could enter, she looked at the next room where the girl was introducing herself to the class.

The moment their eyes met each other, experiencing a different kind of feeling she never felt with anyone, Joohyun concluded that she liked the girl even if she didn't know her.

School days have passed, it became a routine for Joohyun to always look at the classroom next door before she goes to her class to steal glances at the new transferee. She's kinda popular, not only because of her cool haircut which mostly other girls try to pull off but she guess not everyone is looking good with that hair.
