I Wonder What It's Like

"You will leave her?"

Seulgi almost dropped her jaw the moment Seungwan told her about her plan. She just casually sips her almost half empty bubble tea which she has kept on drinking since they met earlier.

"I guess it's for the best."

"But Seungwan, you're close to being four years in the relationship. Will you just throw it away? How about Joohyun? Did she agree with you?"

She shakes her head. "I haven't told her." She cleared the lump in her throat as she got a piece of macaron in their plate. "I'm sure she will be happy."

Seulgi stamped her hands on the table. "No! I won't agree with this. You waited for her almost half of your life then you will just break up with her? I know you Seungwan, you love her more than your bubble tea. I know how you will sacrifice everything for her. What happened?"

She is fidgeting with the plastic straw. "I would be totally lying if I told you I fell out of love. I'm doing this for her, Seulgi." She gave her friend a half smile. "I'm doing this for myself. Just this time, Seulgi. For once, I want to be loved."

Seungwan has been thinking about this for weeks now. She is laughing, Joohyun is laughing but it doesn't mean they are happy. She can feel it. Seungwan thinks that is totally unfair to Joohyun.

Joohyun, she's the most beautiful woman and probably the best person that Seungwan knows in her life. She spent her teenage years watching her when they was in high school. She's really popular and a top student. Everyone loves her, including Seungwan, but she knows more than anyone that it's not just something about admiration. She is in love with her.

Seungwan is definitely not a stalker but she ends up going to the same college as Joohyun. She tried her best to pass the entrance examination and she was so happy when she did. Joohyun still doesn't know her existence and though they end up in the same university, she is still looking at her from afar.

Seungwan even experienced being broken-hearted. It really hurts when Joohyun finally falls in love with someone but her. She is happy for her because Joohyun shows her prettiest smile with that person.

Seungwan almost transferred to a new university because her parents migrated to Canada. They want her to study there but she pushes the idea of staying because she only needs two more years to finish college. She even joined the glee club so she can have a scholarship. Her parents end up not providing for her studies so she needs to get a part time job at the same time. There's a lot of clubs at the university but how did Seungwan end up joining the club where Joohyun's girlfriend is a member? She is only good at singing, that's why. She almost left the club but she didn't because of Joohyun. She is not a member but she was always there, waiting for her girlfriend.

Graduation Day.

Seungwan thought that this would be the last time she would see Joohyun but she didn't know what happened but she ended up breaking up with her girlfriend. She saw how those tears in her eyes were full of sadness. Joohyun is angry but Seungwan can see that it's not sincere. More like she's sad. She badly wanted to comfort the girl and follow her but she stopped herself. Who am I, by the way? She is just a mere schoolmate and she wonders if Joohyun even knew that she existed.

Seungwan is already planning to go to Canada but there's something stopping her. She badly wanted to see Joohyun again even for the last time so she tried to look for a job. It's really hard to get a job when you just graduated. They always look for people with experience. Seungwan is thinking about how she will get experience if they don't accept her?

Seuungwan was looking for a job when Seulgi, her classmate in high school, and her met in the company she was applying for.

"My God, Seungwan! How are you? It's been a long time."
