Deal With It

Irene firmly takes a fist. She has been patient since day one. Her eyes just rolled when she looked at her date for today, whom she thought will be her serious and last boyfriend. It looks like she is mistaken. Again.

"Irene..."

Her date is fidgeting and doesn't even dare to look into her eyes. He looks so scaredy-cat. It's not like they are in a judicial court but maybe later if Irene changed her mind.

"Sssh!"

Irene hissed and stopped him from mumbling any words he could possibly think of. She stamped the table. She doesn't care if they are already gathering attention from the people around. Dinner will surely be put on waste. She is sitting straight.

"Don't even say a word. I already knew it and please don't you dare say, 'It's not you. It's me.' I am getting tired of those lame excuses that you could possibly think of."

Irene looks at him. He is starting to sweat cold and she can clearly see how he gulped the lump from his throat. She parted her lips.

"Don't tell me, your first love came back, right?"

She finally makes him look at her and she can see how terribly shaking his eyes are. "How did you..."

Irene stopped him again from lifting her hand. She scoffed. "I can't believe for the third time, I will be in the same situation again. This will be the last time. You jerks always find a way to make me fall in love and what? In the end, you'll just break my heart just because your first love came back to you and said they're in love with you, too? Irene gets her bag and glares at anyone who dares to look at her at the restaurant.

"What?!"

She sighs and her tears start to fall down.

"Curse all of you. Curse all the people who can't move on with their first love."

"Oh my God! Unnie! You look like eeww."

Irene glared at Yeri who was reacting with exaggeration when she saw her at her office. It's been weeks since she had a bad day with Kai. As soon as Yeri enters her office, she utters words that should have been her last words but it looks like it doesn't bother her secretary when she glares at her.

Yeri just smiled at her like she was not facing a dragon. "Here. You need to sign these to process it immediately. Don't worry, I already checked everything and it's perfectly made." She gave Irene an okay sign.

Irene trusts Yeri when it comes to her company, which is why she is the only one secretary that can stay for her for a long period of time. She is convinced that Yeri already checked everything so she signed them right away. These papers are the proposals of her employees and contracts with other companies.

"But we have one paper that uhm..."

"What is it?" She asked without removing her eyes on the papers she is signing.

"I check your schedule, you can lay a bit of your time."

Irene looks at Yeri who's fidgeting her pen. "Huh?"

"Trust me. They are a big company. It will be a good opportunity if we sign a contract with them. It's just that the president wants to personally talk to you."

"What?"

"Hmm. I don't know. The secretary called me and saw our proposal with them and as soon as the president knew about us, they would sign a contract but you need to meet up. At dinner. Tomorrow, eight o'clock."
