When I wake up, the dream isn't done
I wanna see your face and know I've made it home.
If nothing is true, what more can I do?
I am still painting flowers for youTina's POV:
Dad won't stop giving me a look. A look of disbelief. And he keeps laughing. I'm convinced he's gone insane.
"Okay so...this is some kind of elaborate prank!" He comes up with, slamming his fist on the table in triumph.
"No, Dad. This is real." I giggle.
Gene, Louise, and Mom believe me, though still in shock. Dad is harder to convince.
"Okay, whatever you say." He cackles. Yep. He's gone insane.
Castor returns the next day, an unsure look on his face.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"I...I have to wipe your memory. Father said...it puts the kingdom in jeopardy if I marry a human." Castor reveals.
"But he swore!" I cry.
"I know. But the last time a human and a Martian married...they were burned at the stake." He says fearfully.
"Oh god it really is like Romeo and Juliet..." I reply, thinking of what mom said.
Castor let's out a boyish giggle.
"I...I don't want to forget about you, Cas. But if it keeps you safe..." I cry.
"I know. I don't want to forget you either. But... I don't see many options. Even if we did run, I'd stick out like a sore thumb." He sighs.
"So what do we do?" I ask.
"I... I don't know." He admits.
We sit together for a while just to think. I don't know what to do. "And if I were to be figured out, the entire world would know about Martians. And we'd never see each other again." Castor adds.
"I can't be without you!" I mourn.
"I know, T. I know." He hugs me softly, and I run my fingers through his hair. Silky and smooth.
"Please...tell me there's some sort of loophole. You're everything to me and more." I don't want to let go of him.
"I'll try to convince my father. I don't know what else to do. He doesn't even know I'm here talking to you, so I have to go." He replies.
I kiss him, and he teleports back home, leaving me alone in my room to cry.
"Well that certainly was interesting." Louise gets out of my closet where she was hiding.
"Louise!" I groan in annoyance.
"What? You can't hide your alien boyfriend from me. He's cool. Much better than Jimmy Jr." she muses excitedly.
"Ugh...he really is." I admit.
"I'd say there's plenty of fish in the sea, but I mean...Castor is an alien." Louise chuckles.
"And there's nobody even close to as amazing as him." I add, sighing as I think about everything that makes him unique.
"Yeah well...good luck with that." Louise exits my room to go do her own thing. I don't know how she's so casual about it.
Plopping down on my bed, I groan. "Whyyyyyy"
"Tina, are you okay?" Dad knocks on my door and opens it. Why do parents even knock if they're going to come inside anyway?!
"No..." I pout.
"Is it Castor?" He asks knowingly. I nod.
"Uhhh...well I can't say I know much about all of this...it's...a lot. And I'm still convinced I'm high on some crazy drugs." Dad replies awkwardly.
"Hmm." I moan dully.
"I mean...Martians? I think my find could think of something more creative than that. And if I'm high, can't I just imagine I have super powers instead?" He continues. I only half listen to his words.
"It's my drug hallucination! Why can't I be the one with the powers?!" He rants.
"I don't know, Dad." I groan, exasperated.
"Anyways...let me go see if I can make my mind think I'm a success." He leaves. I can't help but giggle at that.
He's definitely not high. Or dreaming. I wonder how long it will take him to realize that. Mom is way too casual about it, and Gene keeps calling Castor his alien-in-law.
Gene did always want a brother...
I laugh at the thought, thinking of all the fun we could have if he could roam freely here, and use his powers without worrying about being caught.
I open my journal, writing new friend fiction.
"Will you marry me?" The handsome alien asks, holding Tina's hands. "Oh yes!" She screams happily.
They have a cool wedding with futuristic stuff and Tina becomes the princess of Mars.
They soon live on a horse ranch, the horses wearing space helmets so they can breathe.
Tina and Castor have alien babies, all with the beautiful eyes of their father. They rule Mars better than any leader ever has, and Tina's whole family comes to live there.
They live happily ever after, the worries of the universe behind them, remembering their first kiss under the two moons.
Bonded for eternity, Castor, Tina, and their family live on forevermore.
I stop writing, smiling at my work. Maybe if I write it, it will come true. Crazier things have happened.
I smile despite the stress of the day, dreaming of infinity with my dear sweet boyfriend, Castor.
Jimmy Jr's got nothing on him.
A/N: I know this one was short but it's almost over and I know how I want to end it, so it's going to end at ten chapters. But don't worry. I have plans for more fanfics. And I promise you'll like them! Or at least I hope so! ❤️
