Evie Queen was a princess. A fair, and beautiful princess. A princess who wanted nothing more than to find her true love. Even though she had everything a girl could ever want, she wasn't happy. She spent all of her days in her room looking out her window, dreaming of the day, she would find the love of her life.

She had recently had a conversation with her father, who was the King of Dawnessburg. He had told her that he would be having a ball that all of the eligible princes from every kingdom, would attend. And whichever Prince was deemed worthy, would have Evie's hand in marriage. But that was not what Evie wanted. And, as always, her father had never listened to her. He didn't care what she wanted, he only cared about the future of his kingdom. Evie's mother had always sided with her father, so there was no getting out of this one. Unless, she just so happened to fall in love with one of the princes. Which seemed very unlikely to Evie.

But instead of thinking anymore on how much she was dreading the next day, she decided to go down to the stables and go for a nice ride on her horse. The servants, who were working in the stables, just looked at her strangely, wondering why their princess was even in the stables.

"Can someone fetch me my horse?" She asked with her head held high.

One servant boy stopped what he was doing, bowed to her, and went to go being her, her horse. And without a single word, that servant boy brought the blue-haired princess her horse, all saddled up and ready for her to ride.

She easily climbed up and sat down on the saddle, and ride away from the castle and into a trail into the woods.

Not too far away, a light, brown-haired man was also riding his horse to escape from his normal life. He rode through the woods finding a clearing to stop and just clear his mind.

He was always running away, seeing as he was almost always in trouble, and sometimes getting blamed for things he didn't do. But that was his life. His poor and miserable life. And as he spotted a clearing, he noticed a shiny, sparkling lake. And sitting by that lake was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on.

He softly smiled before he slowly, and quietly approached her on his horse.
"What is a beautiful woman like you, doing out here all by herself?" He asked making the woman jump as she turned around. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." He quickly apologized .

"It's ok." She replied turning her attention back out to the lake. "I'm just here to get away. My father is driving me insane."

Henry slowly got off his horse and tied him next to the woman's horse, before he sat down next to her.
"I know what you mean. I often get driven insane. And I drive other people insane. I'm Henry, what's your name?" He asked.

"I'm Princess Genevieve. But you don't have to call me that. You can just call me Evie." She told him.

"It's nice to meet you Evie." He replied. "This is a good spot to just come and clear your head."

Evie took in a breath before she blew it out. "I know, I come here a lot." She told him. "Sometimes I just need a break from the royal life. It gets to be too much sometimes."

Henry nodded, listening to every word that escaped from her lips, her beautiful, and perfectly sculpted lips. "I just run away." He said making her look into his green eyes. "All my life I've been running, ever since I was fifteen. I had rich parents, and I was supposed to get an inheritance when I was sixteen, but one day they were killed. Murdered. All because someone wanted their money, and I was next on the list to get killed. But I just ran away. And ever since then, I never stopped running."

As Evie looked deep into his eyes, she saw a lost boy who just wanted to find his way back home. She then turned her attention back to the waters, and she soon noticed the sun beginning to set.

"Well, I should probably head back to my castle before my father finds out I'm gone, if he hasn't already." She said standing up.

Henry stood up as well. "Wait! When can I see you again?" He asked standing beside her before she got back up on her horse.

"Maybe you could come to my castle tomorrow." She told him taking his hands and holding them. "My father is having a ball that every Prince from every kingdom will be attending. If my father finds a Prince for me, I will have to marry him. But if you come, he might understand, cause even though I just met you Henry. I feel like maybe, I'm in love with you and that I've known you forever."

Henry looked down at their entwined hands, before looking back up at Evie and giving her a small smile. "Ok then, I'll see you tomorrow." He told her.

Evie's eyes lit up, and without thinking, she leaned forward to plant a kiss on his cheek. She sent him one more smile before climbing into her horse and galloping off into the sunset.

Henry knew, as he watched her ride away, that he had met an angel.
