Chapter 12

Kenma waking up to the smell of your shampoo was exactly what he needed to get the day started. He almost forgot he fell asleep holding you to him on Kuroo's couch until he opened his eyes and saw you there, breathing calmly as you listened to his heartbeat. You looked completely content.

After about the third movie the two of you had taken over the couch almost as soon as Kuroo moved to get a drink. You had originally fallen asleep on top of him, your cheek against his chest while he had his arms around your back but you both shifted while you slept. You now slept next to him, on your side against the back of the couch while he faced you on his side, arms around you and back to the TV. Although you moved, neither of you removed your arms from each other. His hands felt along the clip of your bra and yours held him close by his shoulder blades, your face nestled comfortably against his neck. Even your legs were intertwined, the blanket abandoning you both some time in the night.

Kenma didn't feel flustered or shy like this, just a little tired from watching the movies last night. He resisted the urge to move with all his strength, refusing to move until you woke up naturally so you could get proper rest. While he waited for you to wake up he felt a hand brush hair from his face and saw a familiar, smug grin when he looked up.

"Mornin'." Kuroo hummed at his best friend, holding a piece of toast in his hand with a bite in it. Although he wasn't exactly whispering he also wasn't speaking at full volume. Kenma sighed, watching two other friends trot into the room behind.

"She looks so peaceful while he sleeps…." Yaku sipped from a water bottle when he spoke, peering over Kenma to you as you slept. Even with your hair whipping around and wrapping along your jaw your sleeping face was on display.

"How does someone even sleep so pretty." Amazed, Yamamoto peered over the couch too. All this attention made Kenma suddenly warm in the face but all the same he didn't move just in case it would wake you up.

"Could you not." Kenma whisper-yelled at his three friends, practically glaring at them for choosing to talk in the first place.

"It's already eleven you guys should be up anyway." Yamamoto said the time casually but he was honestly a little bitter that Kenma was holding you like that. Holding you was his dream. Well, holding any cutie was honestly his dream. Like that Karasuno manager with black hair.

"We don't even have anything to do today so there's no use waking up early." Kenma gave up and sighed. He looked from the three of them to you again, starting to slide his arm from under your head while he spoke.

"That's not true." Kuroo practically reeked of mischief when he informed Kenma of his sudden plans.

"What are we doing then?" First a movie night and now a sudden engagement, Kenma wondered what exactly his friend was up to. He slipped his legs back from yours and pulled out of your grasp, his hand flowing across your bra line and under your chest as he managed to creep out of your arms. In all honesty he already missed the smell of your hair.

"Reader promised to go to the water park with us." When Kuroo said that suddenly Kenma was snapped into the conversation.

"The water park?" Kenma was torn between the idea of you in less clothes and the idea of you making plans with Kuroo. He knew his cheeks were read already but he bit his tongue. This time Lev wasn't here to point out how jealous he was getting.

"Don't give me that look. You're coming right?" Kuroo tried to con his friend into joining his antics, knowing the thought of your skin was more than enticing to Kenma.

"...I guess I can go to the water park." Kenma practically hissed his response, knowing he wouldn't be bringing his hand held if he got bored. Not to a place with so much water. Although he knew in the back of his mind that he would be more than occupied by the view when he did get there so there would be no room for boredom.
