The rest of the camp practically flew by. Long practice days melted together and each day you took notes, analyzed and helped cook for the teams. When you woke up on that last morning you stretched your arms out, hearing a couple of satisfying pops as you did. Just like yesterday you woke up early to go help prepare the meals for the day. Sneaking your way out of the classroom and down the stairs you yawned tiredly. It wasn't a requirement for you to help out like this but it made you feel good and accomplished. It took less time to prepare breakfast than the day before, a couple girls trickling in to help that didn't come down before to help.
Today you didn't need to wake up the teams, leaving that to the other managers, but you did wait patiently by the stairs for Kenma to come down to you. It wasn't a noticeable habit but you had made one of waiting for Kenma each morning without realizing it. He found you and yawned a greeting while the two of you walked to the eating area. He was cute when he was tired...
"Did you get enough sleep?" You decided to engage in a conversation while getting food. "It's the last day." Honestly, even just saying it was a little hard to believe. Although the practices and training was long it felt like such a short amount of time. You've casual conversation with so many new friends it was almost a little sad to think you'd be leaving tomorrow morning.
"....Yeah." Kenma responded after a bit, having taken the time to watch your attention fall from the conversation to the memories you made the last few days. He didn't say it out loud but Kenma was a little disappointed. Sure, he was tired and sore from the practices but he liked the view...Of course he could see you at school but it was different here, seeing you after he's just woken up and being taken care of by you, eating meals with you, it wouldn't be like that back home. It wouldn't be the same view of the sun catching your hair or your smile when he beat Karasuno again. It felt bittersweet leaving this behind.
"Don't look so down!" Lev inserted himself into the conversation. "We still have a whole month of practice before the spring nationals!" He spoke between mouthfuls of food. You couldn't help but laugh at him.
"You're right." Enthusiastically, you agreed with him. Everyone has grown so much over this camp and you still had the time back at school to be with them before school ended. Although you thought of it you didn't think about this being the last few months you'd spend with your third years. Lev kept you in high spirits throughout the meal and up until it was time to go to the gym to set up and get on with the final matches of the camp.
"Oh, I forgot my notebook upstairs..." You made your audible observation as you were about to step into the practice area. They were still setting up so you practically raced up the stairs so you wouldn't be late, slowing down once you heard voices down the hall.
"We miscalculated..." Nekomata? You stayed behind the wall, listening in on the conversation.
"Everything else is ready though? For the barbeque?" Coach Ukai made you freeze. There was going to be a barbeque for the last day? Suddenly you felt excited for all the boys who worked hard to get this far, feeling energized but also guilty knowing this had to be a secret.
"But we don't have enough paper plates, we can't serve the food.."
"I'll go and get them!" You peeked your head around the corner, finally letting the coaches know you were there. "I'll be back before the last match so you guys can watch the teams." Luckily, your ankle had healed considerably so aside from some lingering bruising you could walk-or even run perfectly fine.
