Casey led Astrid down the stairs to the area of the castle below what was called 'The Great Lake'. She had explained to Astrid that this is where the Slytherin common room and dorms were. They walked towards a wall that was located behind the cellars. It was dark and cool but Astrid surprisingly found comfort in this.

"Now the password changes every 2 weeks" Casey explained as Astrid listened intently. "It's easy to remember and get from other fellow Slytherins but you must NOT give the password to students of other houses. It is strictly forbidden for them to visit our common room."

"Why?" Astrid questioned thinking that rule was a little dumb. If she had friends in another house, like Sailor, where were they supposed to hang out at night or study?

"Not sure really" Casey replied. "Guess it just keeps the competitiveness of the houses going, you know separating us and all."

Casey turned to the wall muttering the word "serpent" before the wall began sliding back. Casey grabbed Astrid, leading her into the dark room. Astrid was in awe as she tilted her head up and looked around the room sitting before her. She had to admit, Hogwarts was much more beautiful than Ilvermorny. The walls of the common room were dark stone, different art etched into them. Green colored lamps hung from silver chains and a fire crackled in the brilliant, large fireplace. Leather couches and wooden chairs sat around the room making it feel more cozy. She looked straight ahead, her eyes widening as she approached the window in front of her. A green glow filled the room from it but as it was currently dark outside it was hard to see what was out there. She knew it was the great lake but it appeared so much darker, the moon not being able to illuminate this deep.

"It's even cooler in the day" Casey said, snapping Astrid from her trance-like state.

"I love it" Astrid said with a smile before Casey pulled her to some stairs. They made their way up them before approaching a hall filled with doors leading to different dorms. Casey opened the door to the room she had used for 5 years now. Astrid followed her in and looked around in awe once more. 5 beds filled the room, 3 on one wall, 2 on the other. She walked down the middle of the room, the ends of the beds forming a path. The room was larger than she expected. It as well was dark stone with lamps hanging from chains but straight ahead from her the wall was a complete window to the lake. She turned, looking at the bed beside the window and noticed it was the only one in the room not taken. It had dark emerald green blankets on it with silver sheets. The pillows were green as well with silver trim. The bed posts were a dark oak color.

"That's your bed" Casey said pointing to it before motioning to the bed beside it. "And this is mine."

Astrid noticed her belongings had been placed at the end of the bed in which she would be staying in.

"You can put all your stuff in the trunks" Casey said motioning to the dark wooden trunks that were placed beside each bed.

"Oh look" she started again with a smile. She reached over to Astrids bed and picked up the robe laying upon it, a box of uniforms to the left of it. "Your robe!"
