Astrid had spent all summer writing letters to all of her friends, Fred, Sailor, Casey, Harry, Hermione, and most of all George. She was pleased to have people to talk to all through the summer besides her godfather Lupin. She also had been able to keep in touch with her father, he appeared in their fire whenever he had the chance to talk. A month ago in one of George's letters he had asked the girl to join his family, along with Hermione and Harry, to the Quidditch world cup. The girl had declined at first, not wanting to intrude where as she had never met any of the family, but he insisted saying they had an extra ticket that would go to waste. Of course Astrid made him check that it was one hundred percent okay with his parents. In return she received a letter from his mother, saying she would be absolutely happy to have her come.
So now she was standing in front of the Weasley house, waving goodbye to Remus at half past four in the morning. She watched his car disappear down the small road as she turned back to the house. It was small for a wizard's house but it was lovely. Astrid personally thought it was incredible. She loved how close their family seemed and how down to earth they were. She would have given anything to have had that. The door swung open, snapping her from her thoughts as she saw two familiar twins standing in front of her. Before she knew it she was wrapped in a hug by both of them.
"We missed you" the two said in unison, pulling away from the smiling girl.
"Especially him" Fred said, pointing to his brother who slapped him.
"I missed you guys too" Astrid replied with a giggle.
"Here come in" Fred said, stepping out of the way to allow the girl through the door. George reached down and picked up her bag, carrying it through the door as the girl followed. As soon as she walked in she was hit with the smell of pumpkin spice and baking. She smiled to herself, admiring their house.
"Fred, George where are y-" she heard a woman's voice begin before stopping as she walked into the room. She sported the same red hair as the rest of the Weasley's, small fringy bangs covering her forehead. She was shorter and looked kind. Astrid smiled to the woman.
"You must be Astrid" the woman said approaching her before wrapping the girl in a quick hug.
"I'm Molly" she said quickly, as she pulled away from the girl. "It's so nice to finally meet you sweetheart, I've heard so much about you."
Molly looked to George and winked, he immediately turned beet red and looked down. Astrid giggled and looked to the lady in front of her, who was smiling brightly.
"Well I hope they're good at least" Astrid began as Molly laughed.
"Oh of course" Molly replied sweetly.
"Your house" Astrid began but Molly cut her off.
"I know" she began, frowning slightly. "It's not much, but it's home."
