The wind was twirling, and gushing around us on this very peaceful night. Swaying my hair in different directions, the breeze was nice. It is almost a shame I couldn't have enjoyed the night, instead here, I'm taking on the very person who slayed my clan- my family, friends... And anything that'd ever mattered to me.
Leorio had left by now, and I made sure he'd taken Melody with him. I didn't want them to see me like this. in this state-
I was a murderer.
Chrollo was on the ground, sitting on his knees- he didn't appear phased by anything that was happening. Chain jail was still enforced upon him, he was unable to leave, or fight back- My chain jail enforced hatsu so he was unable to use his nen abilities. He is strong I'll admit, but never to his face. I just want to get this night over with so I can avenge my fallen brethren, and take back what is rightfully ours.
"This is it, huh?" Chrollo spoke clear and gently, as he glanced around absorbing every detail of this barren land he was brought to. I made my way closer to him, keeping my head down, fighting off tears I had welled up in my eyes- Once I remained steady enough to start, I looked up to Chrollo, ready to face him.
"Six years ago, were you the leader when the Troupe slaughtered the Kurta of the scarlet eyes?" My eyes went crimson thinking about the pain he caused, I hated him for everything he did. Chrollo closed his eyes, and stayed silent ignoring every word I'd just spoken. My eyes widened, flashing a deeper color of scarlet after his long moment of silence where I realized he had no intentions of answering my questions. 'Was he stalling time?' I briskly thought before getting back to my business- my entirety of why I was here on this very night. I look down onto Chrollo, and he looks up from the ground to me. I kick him over, and get on top of him, my knee pressed firmly against his chest.
"Answer me!" I yelled at him, pulling out my judgement chain, forcing it out to his neck in anger. As much as I wanted him dead, I needed answers. Tears began to weld up in my eyes.
"I have nothing to say to you."
Chrollo's tone remained calm, still un-phased by my actions. I started to wonder if he had something else planned- did he know I was planning on making my move tonight- Is that why he was so calm? My thoughts with a million possibilities, and not the slightest hints of which it could be. 'Kurapika, calm down' I think to myself- This must've been a part of his own plan- making me paranoid. My eyes twitched in anger at the Troupes leader, and I let out a growl digging my judgement chain against his neck, it was enough to draw a small stream of blood from his neck. "Then can you at least answer this?" I stared deep into his eyes.
"How do you do it," I let out a shaky breath before continuing. His eyes were fixed onto mine, I could tell he was going to pay attention to what I was about to say.
"How do you manage to kill so many innocent lives?" By this point, I could no longer hold back my tears thinking about how many he'd killed. Including my clan. All the innocent lives lost to the hands of this monster. My tears dropped down onto his bare chest, as I slammed my fist down onto him agitated.
"And not feel any remorse-"
My tears trickled down onto his skin awaiting an answer from him. I was beyond mad, no- there were no words explaining how angered I was. I let out a rough punch infused with nen,
"Answer me!" I yelled out, watching the newly placed cut on his face trickle blood. My eyes were still scarlet, as I watched his face intently, waiting for him to show the slightest sign of anything. I couldn't read anything on his face, except a small smile that began to peek.
