Chapter 2

Chapter 2-Dorothy Meets...

Dorothy's pov

After Scarecrow and Lion electricuted Tin man to save his batteries, it was almost 9:00 PM at night and all that fun makes me yawn and fell asleep right on the spot. Scarecrow lead me to show me my room the others including Glinda said there goodbye's to me and Scarecrow

It was all so quiet, the servants were just walking pass us and continue to there chores the odd thing is that I've never seen Scarecrow so quiet before I expected that he would talk about the greatest things that he had done while I was away, I cleared my throat and broke the silence that we had about an hour or so:

Dorothy: " *clears throat* so... how's things in Oz, is there a new villain had come in Oz? "

Scarecrow: " no... just a normal day on Oz but... "

Scarecrow frowned and look away from me feeling worried and had fear into his eyes it was like he was hiding a big secret from me I didn't ask the others but I try to question Glinda lately but she didn't answer my questions

Dorothy: " but what? "

Scarecrow: " but... I fixed the damges that the Jester had caused since he was alive and... Glinda had a child "

Dorothy: " *gasp* REALLY!? "

Scarecrow: " indeed, and her name is Jasmine... Lion and Tin man weren't that good as a parent no offense to them but China Princess and Marshall Mallow did the good parenting work since they were married "

Dorothy: " and how about you? "

Scsrecrow: " same thing to the couple I did my father figure to her, she usually help me whenever Glinda is come to visit me in the Emerald City "

We make it to a door which I resumed it was my bedroom, Scarecrow open the door and it showed that it wasen't green bit rather blue I think before I return to Oz he already paint this room blue the blankets were white but with a blue line, the pillows were three pillows the one is blue the others are white with green design in it

I enter my room along with Toto, I spotted Toto running straight to his bed which was beside my bed he bark several times with a smile on his face I think he likes it this makes me giggled. But all of a suddenly I heard a deep groan coming from behind me I turn around to see that it was Scarecrow

I went towards him and I realize that he is shaking, shaking so violently, he bit his lip so hard, and cover his eyes with his hands this got me worried I kept nudging him, he was leaning in the door step but he muttered something that I didn't understand

Dorothy: " Scarecrow... hey, calm down... just breath "

When I said the final word 'just breath' he started breathing very calmly, his shaking was no longer there so as the biting of his lip. He removed his hand from his eyes and surprise that I was infromt of him but I saw something in his eyes... he was... tired?

Dorothy: " Scarecrow, what's wrong? You've been shaking so violently is something wrong? "

Scarecrow: " *sigh* I think I'm having a headache... I think I need some rest "

He smiled weakly, we said our goodbye's, I went into my bed ( I changed my clothes too into a night gown ) and went to sleep

I woke up, it was still night time... I look at Toto who is still sleeping I tried to sleep but it was interupted when I heard a loud noise coming outiside of the Emerald City, I grab my coat that hanging on a hanger and went outside to investigate it

I went outside of the Emerald City the houses is stills lit from a light and some are not yet lit the houses are green just like the castle so that's why it was called 'The Emerald City' but I felt a presence that someone might be behind me so I look around to check if someone is here

I stumble upon a theater place, I enter the theater and saw that nobody was there. I sigh, I swear that I heard a noise coming from outside I decided to head back but I encounter someone, he was sitting on a round table, his clothings seems like a victorian era, he wears a black cloak and a dark top hat he look up to me with a red eyes looking straight at me but he seems very familair to me

Dorothy: " I know you, don't I? "

His smiled grew and grew and spoke in a deep voice:

???: " *evil giggles* are you sure that you know me? "

Dorothy: " well... you look familiar to my friend so that's why I'm asking you this question "

???: " heh... I didn't know a girl like your age should be not talking to strangers "

Dorothy: " wait... what's your name? "

The stranger stayed quiet until he spoke again

Shadow: " Shadow... my name is Shadow Vessel at your service "

Dorothy: " well... I'm Doroth- "

Shadow: " there's no need for your introduction m'lady because I've already know... I saw you lately with the king and I must say the king has changed alot "

Dorothy: " maybe, he is tired at his duties "

Shadow went towards me, he lean me closer with him, his hands grabs my wrist and the other he held on my back this caught me off-gaurd then he spoke:

Shadow: " you know Ms. Gale for several years that the king has been ruled this city he had been acting so odd about something, something that HE was afraid of telling you "

Dorothy: " why are you telling me this? "

Shadow: " because I'm telling you this because... the king has his inner monster so as his so called 'friends' "

All of a sudden, I felt a cold tingiling on my hand and found out that he hurt me, I wince in pain and back away from him I look at my hand that was bleeding but not too much then I look at Shadow with a wicked grin on his face

Dorothy: " *shaking* your a monster "

Shadow: " *giggles* let's see if your friends are the monster "

I sped away from, I exit the theater and straight to my room, Toto lick my hand to get the pain away but luckily I found the bandages and heal it very quickly and I fell asleep on my bed.
