Chapter 20- Am I A Good Man Or A Madman

Narrator's pov

Scarecrow walked in the ball room where it was quiet and empty he'd rather spent his time alone instead with his friends because if he spend his time with his friends and Dorothy Shadow might took control of him and hurt the others

He wore his long blue trench coat since snow is coming in Oz he felt a shiver when coming outside of the Emerald City and the shivers had just begun, he look around to see the lights were off, the window was wide open with a light that was coming from the moon, and everything is just... quiet... and peaceful

He sigh, and remembers the dance that he took with Dorothy at her welcoming party that time. He wouldn't stop thinking the smile and laughter that had worn on her face which made him smile and felt relief, if Shadow didn't exist then he would live a normal life with his friends and Dorothy

But the quotes that Dorothy said, it tears him into two by those words if he tried so hard and defear Shadow early then this situation would never exist from the beggining

He sigh deeply, he close his eyes then started singing to make the situations he had been so long to face away

Scarecrow: There's a fire in my brain
And I'm burning up
Oh my
Oh my
Keep running for the sink
But the well is dry
Oh my
Oh my
Every word I said is kindling
But the smokes clears
When you're around
Won't stay with me
My darling
When my wall starts
Burning down?
Down
Down

Meanwhile with Dorothy, she kept searching for her dear friend and kept saying his name again and again until, she heard a voice it was like someone is listening but in a baritone voice, she followed the voice and kept running

Scarecrow: This house is my name
Like an elegy
Oh my
Oh my
Wchoing where the ghosts
All used to be
Oh my
Oh my
There's still cobwebs
In the corners
And the backyards
Full of bones
Won't you stay with me
My darling
When this house don't feel like home?
When this house don't feel like home?
Oh,oh,oh
Ashes, ashes
Dust to dust
The Devil's after both of us
Oooh
Lay my curses
All to rest
Make a mercy out of me

Meanwhile with Dorothy, she finally followed the voice very clearly she went to the ball room where she saw Scarecrow singing standing in the middle of the ball room

Scarecrow: This tired old machine
Is a-rumbling
Oh my
Oh my
Singing songs to the secrets
Behind my eye
Oh my
Oh my
All my aching bones
Are trembling
And I may yet
Fall apart
Won't you stay with me
My darling
When the war starts in my heart?
When the war starts in my heart?
Oh,oh,oh
Ashes, ashes
Dust to dust
The Devil's after both of us
Oooh
Lay my curses
All to rest
Make a mercy out of me
Oh,oh,oh
Ashes, ashes
Dust to dust
Tell me:
'I am good enough?'
Oooh
Lay my curses
All to rest
Make a mercy out of...

After he was done singing a song, he still felt upset about what had happened when his secrets are revealed until he heard a familair voice:

Dorothy: " Scarecrow? "
