Chapter 5

Chapter 5- How Can I Continue On?

Narrator's pov

Dorothy woke up, she yawn then stretch herself the night with Lion was so tiring ans exhuasted to her opinion all those running, playing, and all those energies that the Lion felt is that nobody could drain his energy away, she got dress then exit to her room along with Toto by her side

They went to the Wizard's Chamber to see that Glinda is fixing the rainbow mover

Dorothy: " good morning, Glinda "

Glinda: " good morning too Dorothy "

Dorothy: " why are you fixing the rainbow mover? "

Glinda: " well... last night Jasmine did a damage on the machine, I let myself fixed it while Scarecrow is doing his duties "

Dorothy: " hey, where is Scarecrow? "

Glinda: " oh! I think he went to bed yesterday you should wake him up "

Dorothy noded her head, then went straight to Scarecrow's room but when she open the door he wasen't there it was empty. The sheets and the pillows were clean and not yet touched, some his papers were at the floor and some of them were at the lampshape that was folded so neatly

Dorothy got confused she look into the name plate at the room and it said there it was the Scarecrow's room she was at the right room and the right place, she close the door and worriedly walk through the halls of the Emerald City she passed through alot of servants, maids, butler, and etc. Until she went to the science lab she gently opens the door and there he is, he was sleeping on his desk

She enter the room, she felt a cold chilling down to her spine when she enter the lab she close the door quietly. She went towards Scarecrow while Toto sniffing somewhere else in the lab, there were glass shards on the floor that Dorothy carefully dodge it while she was walking slowly, there were chemicals, books, science equipment, and etc. The whole place was a total mess

She grab a long blue coat that was lying on the floor, she was about to put the coat onto the Scarecrow as a warm blanker since it was freezing cold on the lab, she was about to put it on him when he jolted awake, his eyes quickly shot open. Dorothy gasp at her fright when she saw the Scarecrow jolted awake

Scarecrow turn around to see Dorothy shaking because of the cold, Scarecrow rubbed his eyes then greeted her:

Scarecrow: " good morning kiddo, I'm sorry that I slept here I didn't even realize that I slept and... "

He grab a coat from a drawer then gave it to Dorothy

Scarecrow: " here... Scrap sew this for you she told me 'that if she came back gave this to her so that way she won't be cold to death' because in Oz it's started to feel cold here so that's why I always wear a coat in here "

Dorothy wore a blue jacket and Scarecrow wears his long blue coat

Dorothy: " why are you here? "

Scarecrow: " I was researching "

Dorothy: " for what? "

Scarecrow: " I... I forgot the name but Professor Woggle Bug explain it to me for 2 years ago I think, you should probaly meet Professor Woggle Bug he is a really nice guy and that bug is good at jokes "

Scarecrow picked one of those papers, book, and equipments Dorothy helped him until she caught something on the Scarecrow's hand

Dorothy: " what happened to your hand? "

Scarecrow: " oh... I just accidentally cut myself... I've heard that you had a real fun with Lion yesterday night do you wanted to talk about? "

Dorothy: " oh it's just that I got pretty tired yesterday so that's why I sleel very long and... Scarecrow, why aren't you on your room? "

Scarecrow: " just like what I said kiddo... I realise that I slept on the lab again "

The two exit the lab along with Toto following them, Dorothy hold Scarecrow's hand while they were walking down the hall

Dorothy: " I kinda wonder what was the party looks like? "

Scarecrow: " it's not a party Dorothy, it's a ball that's what Glinda said to me before you arrived here in Oz "

Dorothy: " wow, I didn't know you guys were so serious at this event now a days "

Scarecrow: " heh, you have to go and have an adventorous day here in Oz ok? "

Dorothy noded her head then exit the Emerald City leaving the Scarecrow alone in the halls he went to the Wizard's Chamber Glinda and Jasmine left shortly afterwards until he heard a familair voice coming from behind him

Shadow: " tch, you just let her go while there was a danger out here in Oz? "

Scarecrow: " it's the only way to protect her and get her away from you and me "

Shadow: " funny, I talk to Lion and it seems that he wasn't even telling the kiddo the truth I kinda disapointed to him "

Scarecrow: " when will you leave me be? "

Shadow: " hmm... not yet sure but I'm kinda enjoying annoying you like this "

Scarecrow: " *slams a pipe from the rainbow mover machine* just... just leave me alone "

Shadow: " ugh! Fine, but I can assure you, your majesty... that kid is gonna die right on the spot... and I'm not the only villain here to play this dangerous game here "

As that Shadow disapear when the Scarecrow turn around, he look around then sigh he faced the rainbow mover then look down

Scarecrow: " how can I continue on like this? "
