Chapter 19

Chapter 19- A Celebration Without Him

Narrator's pov

After the war, Dorothy and her friends were so happy that they won to a battle like this and as for Violla according to Scarecrow's statement she will be banished at the Land Of Oz forever and never set a foot onto the ground on this world

The news was spread all over Oz and people were so happy to hear the good news instead of the bad news that they always hear everyday on Oz

One night, Glinda decided to celebrated there victory. On Dorothy's room she wore a green dress but not that too long and she braided her hair into a pony tail then exit the her room to her friends in the dining room

She went in the dining room and saw her friends with a bunch of smiles on there faces which makes her smiles grew wider too and excited to about the celebration

Glinda: " Dorothy, since you've lost everyone that you love in Kansas why don't you lived with us forever "

Dorothy: " *gasp* o-of course... I always wanted to stay with you guys "

The others cheered then hugged Dorothy filled wih laugh, joy, and happiness one there faces until she notice that someone is missing, it was the Scarecrow. She looked around the dining room to find him but no clue not even one clue she looked to her friends and then ask:

Dorothy: " hey guys, where's Scarecrow? "

Tin man: " we don't know, he told me that he will be here but... he wasn't here and we don't know why he wasn't here "

Dorothy: " I'll go and find him "

China Princess: " be careful Dorothy "

Dorothy smiled and noded her head and smiled she exits the dining room then start looking for her dear ol' straw friend, she look into his lab he wasn't there, she look into the Chamber room he wasn't there too, she look into the garden, he wasn't there either and the last one is... his room, she opens it but just like the 3 rooms she visited he wasn't there too

She was about to take her own leave until she heard a thump onto a ground like an object has fallen, she turn around and saw a book, a brown book she went towards it to grab it then she started opening the book

She soon realize that this book was belong to Scarecrow meaning it was his private journal, it writes his journey without her, how Violla became the new ruler of the West area, how he got Shadow and his tormented life had begun, and of course his feelings with Dorothy which made her blush though

But the last page was so torn off but it kept it's shape as best as he could, it reads:

'Last Journal Entry

I knew it, I knew she wouldn't accept it and be angry at me by killing those innocent people here in Oz, and those words that she said is very hurtful but at least she spoke the truth about it and release her anger at me... now or from now on I have to chain myself in this very room so that way Shadow won't hurt anyone anymore inluding my friends so as Dorothy

I know what I'm doing here is very risky and difficult at the same time but at least they were safe instead of being in harm, and I will keep on finding a way to stop Shadow once and for all

If I failed this then I had no choice but to live my life with Shadow from now on, and by the plan of telling Dorothy about this was the biggest and worse mistake I have ever made, sure I know my friends convinced me but I won't blame for it, they just didn't see it coming or I didn't see that one coming

I wished that once I defeated Shadow on this, I wished that Dorothy would forgive me and pretend that day didn't happened, but those words that coming out of her mouth made me think that 'I am no longer good or evil.... I am CHAOS'

Alright enough writing on this book I'm running out a space to write maybe I should buy another journal to keep me and Shadow updated and... and I hope no one should find out about this... especially Dorothy... I wished that she finds a good man instead of me

After reading the last journal entry that the Scarecrow wrote, Dorothy was so shock about reading this, she found out that he's been tormented and suffered a brute like Shadow and have no choice to do the things that was risky to everyone including himself

Dorothy thought about the day that she said those words to the Scarecrow and why he was acting so savage, and serious about the situation but the words that he wrote 'risky' and 'difficult' it was like... he don't even care if he's hurt, in trouble, in pain, nor in a desperation to save himself all he cares is his friends

Dorothy put the journal where she found it and exit Scarecrow's room she run straight to every room where to find the Scarecrow.

Dorothy: " don't worry Scarecrow... I'm coming... "
