Chapter 8- The Ball

Narrator's pov

While everybody kept arriving at the ball and wating for the king and the little girl, they were at the ballroom enjoying there own fun. Glinda came too she went towards the leaders of Oz they greeted her with respect she greeted back the leaders of Oz there names are General Candy Apple, The Mayor of Munchkin Town, and Vizie Candy Sweets

Vizie Candy Sweets: " my, my I didn't know the king would decorate this whole place a dazzling designs "

Glinda: " well... me and the king planned this piece by piece so that way it can reduce his work "

Genrald Candy Apple: " I hope his monster won't get in this perfect day "

Glinda: " don't be rude General, the king is controling it and he is working a plan to avoid it "

The Mayor: " let's just hope that his monster won't ruined it "

Glinda: " *sigh* Scarecrow, I hope you know what your doing with him "

Scarecrow's pov

I fixed my bowtie and look myself in the mirror

I felt worried that Shadow might ruined this day with me and Dorothy and... I don't want him to hurt Dorothy and... I don't wanted Dorothy find out about this. Since she already know that Lion is a werewolf, Tin man became some so called 'Frankestien', Marshall Mallow had Vampire powers, and as for Wiser is invincibility

I worried about mine, mine is some sort of a 'split personality' and that personality is... Shadow, Shadow Vessel

I grab my hat and take an another look in the mirror until I felt a headache which made me back away a little bit and held the mirror, I rubbed my eyes until I heard HIS voice:

Shadow: " heh, looks like WE look attractive in this "

I open my eyes and saw Shadow, he was a same position as I was, he wears the same clothing as mine but a different shade of color, I frown at him giving him a mad glare into his eyes

Scarecrow: " you better not show up on this day Shadow "

Shadow: " ha! You thought that you could all the fun with you and your friends and that mic girl of your's "

Scarecrow: " you better not hurt her, or I will hurt you too even though I may got hurt because we got the same body I don't give any care about it anymore... I'll just keep this a big secret for her "

Shadow: " *evil giggles* I know that this 'secret' of our's will be revealed to her rigt before her very eyes... and I might do it right now "

Before I reacted, there was a sharp pain running through me, I kneeled down because of the pain that I felt. I close my eyes, I groaned deeply until I felt a touch within my shoulder I open my eyes to see my friends, Lion and Tin man I guess that they enter the room and found me here on the floor

Lion: " Scarecrow, breath, remember the breathing practice "

Scarecrow: " *groaned deeply* I can't... T-Tin man, g-g-get the se-sedetives... NOW! "

Tin man went to the drawer of my desk to get the sedetive, everyhing started to blur out I tried to fight his control I could hear the Lion's voice blurrying out until everything turn black

Lion's pov

While Tin man is getting the sedetives while I take care of the Scarecrow, I watch how the Tin man get the sedetives into the drawer I turna around to face the Scarecrow, suddenly he grab me by the neck he look up at me with that red eyes of his

That wasen't the Scarecrow I knew it was Shadow himself, he leaned me hard into the mirror so hard that the mirror broke into pieces, I gritted my teeth when I met Shadow's eyes and himself too, but what was shocking to me that he was wearing the same clothes as Scarecrow but a different shades of color

He grinned ear to ear then he finally spoke:

Shadow: " well, well, if it isn't the straw man's friend... good evening, Lion "

Lion: " *grunt* curse you, Shadow "

Shadow: " I'm kinda happy that I take control of your friend this long "

His grip tightens into my neck that I was running out of oxygen to breath until I spotted Tin man, gripping the syringe into his hand he was behind Shadow, I grinned and said to him:

Lion: " heh, but not that long "

His grin dispeared before he could turn around, Tin man already injected him by the neck he groaned loudly and let go of him, he fell down onto the floor, me and Tin man watched as he faded away and let Scarecrow took control me and Tin man went towards him making sire if he was alright

Lion: " Scarecrow, are you alright? "

Scarecrow: " *groaned* what happened? "

Tin man: " long story short, Shadow took over your body just a minute and injected the sedetives in you and then boom! Your back "

He sigh, but he gave us a tired smile and said:

Scarecrow: " *tired smile* thanks guys "

Tin man: " no problem, c'mon everybody is waiting for us "

Dorothy's pov

I exit my room I wearing a dress the dress that Scrap gave me

I followed China Princess, Marshall Mallow, and Wiser straight into the Chamber where everyone is waiting for us. We enter the Chamber and that's when a smile across on everybody's face when they saw

They all welcome me with warm arms until I saw Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin man. Scarecrow wears some sort of steampunk but I caught his eyes so very tired I wonder why

Dorothy: " wow, Scarecrow you look very attractive "

Scarecrow: " thank you for your compliment, and you look beautiful "

I blush at his compliment, until the gaurd boomed his voice which made me shivers down my spine

Gaurd: " everyone, I'd like you to come to the ballroom to start the event "

Everybody came to the ballroom I was about to go there until Scarecrow ask me:

Scarecrow: " Dorothy, can I have this dance with me? "

Dorothy: " of course "

I held his hand, and we went to the ballroom where everybody is there.
