Chpater 3

Chapter 3- Someone Like You

Narrator's pov

Dorothy woke up early, she got out of bed and changed her clothes after encountering a mysterious man named Shadow Vessel she seems very familair to that man. You see, Shadow looks like Scarecrow alot but a thought had stroke her... what if Scarecrow was Shadow... Dorothy shook her head

Dorothy: ' ugh! There's no way Scarecrow would be Shadow and... and I'm just imagining about a book that I just read... maybe I should stop reading one of those books and enjoy my life for a moment in Oz and be happy '

She removed the bandages on her hand to her horror it didn't went away it didn't heal, this caught her in a panic, a mild panic. She changed the bandages and changed her clothes into a dress that she choose to her closet

Her dress was blue with a white apron, and a big white bow behimd her back, her stockings are black with white stripes, and a black boots, she tied her hair onto a pig tails just like those days when she went to Oz

Toto woke up and began to stretch, Dorothy grab her satch and waited for Toto to follow her

Dorothy: " good morning, I think today is the 2nd day at Oz "

She twist the doorknob then exit tp her room, she went to the dining hall where Scarecrow and Glinda are talking and... she spotted a little girl running around playing with her ribbon. Scarecrow notice her presence then smiled at her he wave his hand then greeted:

Scarecrow: " morning kiddo... how's your sleep? "

Dorothy: " it's fine, and who's this kid? "

Glinda: " oh right! This is my daughter her name is Jasmine I gave birth to her while your away "

Glinda called Jasmine's name which she caught her attention, then she spotted Dorothy which brings a smile on her face. She went up to Dorothy then hugged her so as Toto

Jasmine: " hi I'm Jasmine, mommy told everything about you so as your dog pet named Toto "

Scarecrow: " Dorothy... why's there a bandage on your hand "

Dorothy's attention then look at her hand which was covered by bandages then she look at Scarecrow and Glinda with worries on there faces, she took a deep breath then spoke:

Dorothy: " *deep breath* alright... yesterday I went outside and I got injuried in my hand "

She remove the bandges slowly to reveal the injury that she had which shock Scarecrow and Glinda, Jasmine gasp in horror then Scarecrow spoke:

Scarecrow: " Dorothy, come with me and Glinda and Jasmine, would you mind wait here please "

Scarecrow held Dorothy's hand then start to lead her somewhere else at the Emerald City, after a long fast walk Scarecrow stop walking they look into a plate and it read:

'Scarecrow's laboratory, please knock on the door before entering'

Scarecrow twist the doorknob and then enter. The room was like a real science lab filled with books, science equipments, notes, and etc. Scarecrow let Dorothy sit down on a chair she looks around while Scarecrow was looking some of the materials that he needed then she heard someone sat down she look at it and there was Scarecrow putting some of the equipements down on the table

Scarecrow: " can I see your hand? "

Dorothy removed the bandages to show Scarecrow the injury that she had, Scarecrow examine her hand then started grabbing stuff from the table a cotton and an alcohol then Dorothy spoke:

Dorothy: " I know you and Glinda should be shock on this gentlemen's handiwor- "

Scarecrow: " gentlemen? What kind of monster would do such a thing to you Dorothy... *sigh* I forgot that we are in a middle of situation "

Dorothy: " situation? "

Scarecrow: " yes... you see, a murder was on the lose we don't who he/she it is but I told to everyone that they should stay indoors since the murder usually appears at night they have to lock the doors and windows since the murderer is good at killing people and for the most part we don't know who's this 'killer' name "

Dorothy: " but the stranger who attack me... I'll never forget his name... Shadow, his name is Shadow Vessel "

Dorothy look away from Scarecrow and remembers her first encounter with him until she felt a knife had stabbed her which makes her wince in pain

Scarecrow: " oops, sorry... anyway, Glinda hosted a party about welcoming you back in Oz... we have only 4 days left before the party so you better prepare for a surprise "

When it was done, Scarecrow throw the cotton that was filled with alcohol and blood onto the trash bin. Then started putting thr stuff where they belong but before he stands up he felt a touch from his cheek he look at it and saw Dorothy scanning and examine his expretion

Scarecrow: " what is it? "

Dorothy: " you seem very tired... did something happened? "

Scarecrow: " I'm just... having a work or duties to work with so I wasted my sleeping time to work the duties "

Dorothy: " Shadow told me last night that... you have your inner monsters, what's that supposed to mean? "

Scarecrow: " Dorothy... remember this, I'm not the only one who has a inner monsters those just... some representation of our feelings maybe... you, Glinda, Jasmine or anyone in this land had inner monsters since we are created nor born we still had those monsters inside of us still unknown to us "

Scarecrow put his hand on Dorothy's hand and smiled weakly but sweetly then he said:

Scarecrow: " I'll be fine Dorothy, I may look so tired and all but I'll keep holding on "

He kissed Dorothy's forehead, which makes her smile then Scarecrow spoke:

Scarecrow: " now, you should explore the land of Oz today, me and Glinda would be REALLY busy for this party of your's "
