Chapter Fifteen
Jessica watches the ‘kid’ sitting across from her. She couldn’t help laughing as they ate their ice cream. Taeyeon looks up and smiles at Jessica before turning her attention back to the ice cream before her. “Mafia,” states Jessica causing for Taeyeon to drop her spoon. “I’m sorry,” mumbles Jessica.
“It’s okay…we can talk about it if you want,” states Taeyeon as she picks her spoon up off the table.
“I’m just surprised.” Taeyeon nods her head.
“Everybody was at first you know back where I lived. But then my family moved here where a lot of my father’s business partners live and I’ve been living like a normal person. Except I don’t hang out with anybody but the group because their family is in the syndicate.”
“Like a normal person?”
“I was able to join after school activities and get a job that does not consist of a twenty four hour watch from body guards. I can date freely. And no one runs away from me if I approach them. Well all except for you. You hit and run.”
“I don’t run.”
“Right, more like storm off.” Taeyeon scoops some ice cream onto a spoon, “Aah.” Jessica opens her mouth and allows for the girl to feed her again. “So what about your family.”
“What do you mean?” asks Jessica while covering her mouth.
“I want to know something. There has to be a family secret I told you mine,” whines Taeyeon.
“I was in an intimate relationship with Tiffany.” Taeyeon’s eyes widen as she drops her spoon for a second time.
“Like sex?” blurts Taeyeon causing for all the patrons in the small shop to look at them.
“Can you keep your big mouth shut?” whispers Jessica while glaring at the onlookers. “Yes”
“Sorry,” mumbles Taeyeon, “but aren’t you guys sisters. That’s just wrong.”
“It was before we were even sisters.”
“Oh…so is she the other person that you loved? But had to break up with?” Jessica nods her head, “Well I’m glad you guys ended. That way I can have you all to myself.” Jessica rolls her eyes.
“So full of yourself. And why’d you say it like it was a bad thing? What have you never-“
“Nope. Nobody would even come within two feet of me. Boys and girls stayed away from me. And the teachers they all passed me even if I did nothing for the whole year. I never had a girl friend or boyfriend.”
“What was Sunny then?”
“She was more of a casually dating.”
“Casual?”
“Well we didn’t really go out on dates. She just merely hung out with me and the group. And the most we ever did was hold hands. So I say casual dating.”
“Is that why all you can think of for dates is cheap dinners, miniature golf and ice cream?” Taeyeon nods her head while standing up and pushing in her chair.
“Ready to go?” Jessica nods her head and stands up also. Taeyeon grabs her hand and picks up their trash. She dumps it into the trash can and they head out into the cold air.
“Do you have a gun?” asks Jessica as they head to Taeyeon’s car.
“Yeah one under the driver seat of my car. Another under the couch in my living room and one in the drawer of my desk in my room,” answers Taeyeon like it was nothing.
