Vanessa felt her heart beat uncontrollably in unison with her breathing. She was panicking and hiding from everyone. She never liked to be in contact with others when a panic attack struck. She was curled up on the floor beneath the desk of the computer in the testing room. She was unable to cease her shaking. Her nerves wouldn't let her. Because of her hyperventilation she couldn't hear Glitchtrap trying to speak to her. She didn't want to go home, the walk was going to be grueling and the arrival home would be worse. She was still healing from last week's beat down and just knew another one was waiting for her at home. Her mother had gotten mad about her skipping dishes to get to work on time. They were getting more violent each time she was in trouble for something.

No matter how small or pointless it was going to raise hell. She could feel her sweat and tears pouring from her body and her eyes burned at the feeling. Hugging her legs, she couldn't move, she wouldn't move.

"Vanessa! Snap out of it!" Glitchtrap shouted, finally getting through to her. Even though she flinched, he continued on, "It's going to be okay. I promise, Vanessa. Please just trust me."

"T-They're going to kill me...I'm gonna die... As soon as I walk through that door I'm done for!" She said, her voice filled with fear.

"Vanessa, please get up." He pleaded.

"NO!" She snapped, not wanting to be talked down to anymore. Even though that's not what he was doing. Her voice was filled with fear. He felt that pit in his stomach again, that weird and odd feeling of guilt hitting him like a boulder to his abdomen. He let out a deep and breathy sigh.

"Vanessa, if I know anything about you, it's that you're stubborn. You get beat down so much but you find the strength to stand up again. I may be doing it for you physically but you are doing it mentally. Hanging on is the best you can do for both of us." He conciliated.

"You're just saying that so you don't lose a host." She snapped.

"Vanessa." He groaned.

"It's hopeless. My death date is soon and I have no escape...Don't try to talk me out of these thoughts." She said.

"Vanessa, I'm being as truthful as a bipolar sociopath can be." He said, admitting something he would've liked to keep quiet. His powers kicked in and he could see through her eyes. He saw bandages covering her arms. Her sleeves rolled up for the first time.

"Vanessa."

"Shut. Up." She said venomously.

"I'm only trying to help, dear."

"If you want to help then just leave, you've been nothing but an asshole since you showed up!" She said.

"Vanessa, I know you don't mean that." He said sternly. She groaned and slammed her head into the wall. A pair of purple and virtualistic hands stopped the impact. She looked up and behind herself. She would've screamed if she didn't recognize it right away. The oddly relaxed eyes and crooked smile.

"Please believe me when I say that things are going to change. You can promise that. Nothing but hell will rain down on them like bloody karma...And that's not my accent coming in." He chuckled. Vanessa would have commented on his psychotic look if she didn't take the words into consideration.

The purple computerized hands wrapped over her, "Don't let them break you. You are stronger in the mind then you let them in on." He said, pushing one of their leftover bangs out of her eyes.

"In fact, a girl like you will do just nicely in what I have planned."

"What are you suggesting?"

"Simple. I'll let you get your own little revenge with a bit of my pizzazz." He said, doing a single jazz hand. She leaned against him, feeling the comfort to do so and she listened for a heart beat. Glitchtrap opened his mouth to tell her about his missing organ, when he felt the light bump of a heartbeat. He stopped and stared off.

It was slow but was getting faster as he held Vanessa closer to get her to listen. His face flushed up suddenly. He knew it was probably the embarrassment of thinking he had no kind of working organ in his body. He looked away and cleared his throat, trying to play it off.

"Your heart is oddly slow." Vanessa commented, her eyes shimmering still at the sound.

"Well I am technically dead, dear." He said, rubbing her arm with his arm he had around her. She smiled a bit.

"What exactly are you gonna do?" She asked, her mind going in certain directions, rather dark ones at the most.

"You will see. The more important thing is, I have a plan for you." He said, gently pushing his finger against her nose. She blushed. Slowly, his hand started giving off corrupt signals. He sighed.

"Forgive me, I can't hold physical forms for long. Don't have the correct energy yet." He said, slowly dissolving into nothing. She watched as his purple eyes sparked out, like a light bulb busting in the darkness.

She looked down and watched the sparks fall to the floor before fading out of reality.

"The longer we stay together, the more energy I will gain. That means I'll be able to hold out longer in your reality. And soon, I won't have that weird color to me." He said, acknowledging his purple chaotic hue. She smiled a bit more.

"Together forever...right?" She joked. Glitchtrap smirked, stifling a sinister chuckle.

"Yes, my dear. Until the end of time itself." He chuckled, "Maybe you will end up in my condition, immortal and just as beautiful as before." He said.

"I'll be sure you keep your beautiful looks and not be trapped as an odd looking animal such as myself. Though, you have to admit I am still eye catching." He said, posing despite her not being able to see it. She laughed.

"Yeah, eye catchingly creepy." She joked, maybe he wasn't such a burden after all. This would all pay off in the end, right?
