The two laid intertwined with each other against the bed, their body heat keeping them close together from the cold air outside the blanket laid over top of them. It took a couple tries but they eventually got used to cuddling so intimately. Glitchtrap just liked the feeling of such a small girl wrapping her leg over his hip like a body pillow. Vanessa, on the other hand, loved holding her lover close and had been enjoying the peaceful morning of them just silently holding each other. The sound of birds slowly woke the girl up before the rabbit. What woke him was the screaming mascot a few houses away, it always started screaming in the mornings from the park it stayed sleeping in. Originally, the mascot would start at an earlier time, but it switched to a later time over the course of being in the neighborhood.

Vanessa rolled over slightly and sat up, a loose shirt and some shorts on. Glitchtrap let out a groan, covering his ears with a pillow, snuggling back into the blankets. She giggled and grabbed his shoulder.

"Come on, up, up, up!" She joked, tugging at his arm. He looked at her and huffed.

"You're lucky I love you." He grumbled. She kissed his cheek gently. She got out of the bed and stripped her nightly clothes off.

"Nice ass." He commented, starring as she bent over to grab her new clothing. She giggled and stood up, putting her clothes on. The sound of their doorbell ringing and a knock on the front door pulled them from their thoughts.

"Coming!" She called, hobbling over to the bedroom door as she tried to pull her pants up. Throwing the door open she went backwards and buttoned her pants before zipping up her fly. She ran to the front door.

"Hello?" She asked, cracking the front door open and seeing what she thought she wouldn't see again. Her uncle, her mother's brother and someone that constantly got on her or stole money from the family. He was the reason she always got in trouble.

"U-Uncle Robert? What are you doing here?" She asked, her heart sinking into her stomach. He had his arms crossed.

"Need to speak with your mom, Vanessa." He said.

"Mom and Dad aren't alive anymore." She mumbled looking to her side and feeling her hands clench into tight fists. She swore her nails were going to bust the skin of her palm.

"Stop lying, I know they're here, you and your parents owe me money, Vanessa." He said, poking his index finger into her chest. It sent her stumbling back a little. She glared.

"What money? The money you strip and bend over backwards for? You always robbed us! Get out of here before I-"

"Before you what? Last time I checked you weren't even strong enough to fend off a beat down." He said, getting close to her face. She backed up and felt her heart race. She opened her mouth to speak but couldn't seem to get the words out. Glitchtrap stepped between them. He heard everything that came out of the scorned man's mouth.

"Step away from her." He said, crossing his arms as he blocked his path to the girl. Robert went to shove him away, but he grabbed his arm and threw it aside. His reflexes were fast and he was not going to budge.

"I said, step. The fuck. BACK." He said, shoving him out onto the porch. The man glared.

"Didn't your dad tell you the sins of being a whore?" Robert spat. Glitchtrap felt his rage be pushed into overdrive, he shoved him off the porch and onto the grass. The length of the porch off the ground being a couple steps up, he nearly hit the concrete.

"You wanna see a whore, maybe you should look at your sister you bloody money grabber!" He snapped back, stepping down and readying his fists. The man beneath him wasted no time to get up.

"She is a whore! She's been grooming boys since she was old enough to understand the meaning of sex!" He shouted back. Neighbors were beginning to catch wind of the situation, most on the sidelines stopping and staring.

"You better march your arse off my property before I show you the meaning of a corpse!" Glitchtrap shouted. Those watching were understanding the problem by this point, Vanessa watching from the doorway nervously.

"She's the one who ruined her own life! No wonder her parents thought she was a burden!" Robert yelled. A rock hit the back of his head, he looked back and saw a small mechanical brown bear, a small speaker and bright green eyes tossing a rock into the air and catching it in his palm. A boy with curly orange hair and blaring blue eyes following behind, his arms crossed. Matt stepped out, Springy over his shoulders. He slowly sat the small bunny down, telling him to stay put.

Vanessa watched and hid, feeling embarrassment and her face red. Glitchtrap had his body set in position, ready to fight if need be. Robert got close to him, he backed up but stayed in his aimed path, protecting Vanessa as much as he could.

Robert felt a tap on his shoulder. Once he turned a large punch and hit him in the nose, it reminded Glitchtrap of his own damnation, but this bastard deserved it more in this time. Vanessa gasped as she watched her uncle stumble backwards and hold his nose. Matt shook his hand, the impact stung a bit for him too, leaving his knuckles sore. Beatrice came behind him.

"Remember to keep your wrist and arm straight next time." She said, winking to him. He glared at the man. Springy ran up behind his parents, along with his siblings. More of the neighboring people and creatures gathered around. Millie, despite being in a wheelchair, held Funtime's arm, ready to push his button to fire his hand puppet at the man.

As Robert's eyes wandered around he gave a disgusted look.

"You're all freaks!" He cried, pointing at them and trying to shame them. Glitchtrap stepped forward and forcefully turned him around to face him.

"Welcome to the circus, you barmy." He stated, head butting him and knocking him back into the crowd that began to gather. Robert held his head, bleeding a bit from the impact. He wasn't giving up.

"You leave that girl alone!" Funtime Freddy shouted from the side of the crowd, the others yelling out in agreement.

"Yeah, they're one of us!" Delilah followed up, holding the feisty Ella in her arms to keep her from tearing at the man's face.

"You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!" Matt stated, Springy hissing at Robert from behind Matt's legs. Vanessa could feel her heart race, a smile creeping across her face. She stepped out and came down onto the yard.

"Finally facing me, huh?" Robert said. Vanessa smirked and stuck her fingers in her mouth, blowing and letting out a loud-

FWEIWEE!-

A large dog came bounding over, a collar with a tag that read "Fetch" around its neck. Vanessa laughed as it chased him out through the entrance, barking all the way there. The crowd cheered in satisfaction.

She was truly welcome here. They both were.
