Vanessa rubbed her light baby bump. It had been less than a month, the remnant was surly making this go by faster. Glitchtrap sat beside her, watching the children run around with their robotic friends. Their hands were tied together lovingly as they sat in a peaceful silence. Glitchtrap leaned over and felt her belly gently. They both constantly wondered nonstop what the child would look like. Vanessa joked at one point it would look something like springy, Glitchtrap hoped they would look as beautiful as their mother.

Gently, she pulled her shirt up and showed her belly. She grabbed a bit of ointment and rubbed it, helping herself relax. The stretching of her skin as her belly increased size made it hard for her to sit still. Glitchtrap sipped his morning coffee as he watched her massage her stomach. Vanessa always wondered what her mother did while she was pregnant. She wished her mother was more accepting, but then again without the cruelty of home, she would have never met the dream beside her. The flaws both of them showed didn't break their trust or love. They made inner promises to themselves and outside promises to each other. It kept them closer, they fought through the pain together, found ways to bond and help with the pain. Glitchtrap leaned over and kissed the girls cheek lovingly, leaving a bit of a coffee kiss on her puffy cheek. She smiled and pulled his hand over her belly, wanting him to feel. He adored the feeling, hoping to feel the kicks and movement sometime soon. He knew he had to be patient though.

Vanessa could feel the growth increase a bit more. The remnant made everything seemingly so much faster than it should be. Though, any time she could spend rubbing her belly was enough for her. A part of her still feared for how the baby would turn out. It wasn't that she was going to look down on it for being ugly, every baby was beautiful to her. She learned to love for what's on the inside because of who she was loving. No, it was severe deformities that would threaten the child's safety and well being. She wouldn't be able to withstand losing her first and only child at the time. Slowly, she began to calm down. She was sure that nothing horrible would affect the baby. She was willing to do anything it took to protect it. Whether it looked like a rabbit or a human, she would love it all the same. This was her family, no one was going to tell her she shouldn't do things her way. Not anymore. That time in her life was over.

"Would you like me to make you some breakfast, dear?" He asked, sipping from his mug. Vanessa didn't seem to respond as she starred off at something in the distance. Glitchtrap found the silence odd and looked up to her to make sure she was okay. He noticed her gaze and followed it with his own. He saw a woman riding atop of a horse. Her bright ginger hair braided together to form a long ponytail in the back that swayed along as the horse moved beneath her. Vanessa smiled at the woman as she guided a couple of the sheep around.

"So cool. Maybe we should try horse riding one day." She said, nudging Glitchtrap lightly. Glitchtrap on the other hand was frozen into a trance like state, staring at the woman. Vanessa let out a light chortle and nudged him again.

"I hope you aren't staring at her behind." She joked. Glitchtrap twitched.

"NO!" He shouted, slamming his mug on the table, shattering it. He sat stiff, his arm pressed against the table beside him as he shook uncontrollably. Vanessa held her belly as she scooted a little aways from him. Glitchtrap squeezed the now lonely handle, the bottom of his fist bleeding from the porcelain lodged within his flesh. He soon recognized the fearful look on his beloved's face and his muscles began to loosen, loosen enough to notice the blood dripping from the side of his hand and the broken mug that caused it. His hand shook as blood began to seep from the cuts. He stood and ran to clean his hand. Vanessa was left dazed and confused as to what just happened.

"I'm...sorry..." She mumbled quietly, nervously rubbing her baby bump while waiting for him to return. He soon did, his hand wrapped in bandages.

"I'm sorry for the outburst, love. That woman....she gives me bad memories I wish to forget." He spoke solemnly. His gaze stuck on his current wound. Vanessa looked up to him.

"I shouldn't have joked like that, I'm sorry, My Lord." She replied. He put his good hand against her shoulder carefully.

"No, you didn't know I was going to react like that, it's my fault." He objected, placing a peck on her cheek. She eased up once he kissed her, returning the kiss along his jawline. He chuckled in response and knelt down, placing his wound against her stomach. She smiled, he could feel a light movement as a growth spurt hit, unnoticeably expanding her bump. She smiled a little bit and rubbed her hand along the smooth bump.

"So precious." Glitchtrap cooed softly. He put his head against the bump, listening carefully. Vanessa put her palm to the back of his head and brought small amounts of comfort to him as he listened for movements. He could hear the swishing of the ghostly substance that thrived within the growing fetus inside. The thought of everything, it went through Glitchtrap's head like a car on a track. The scenario was so strange to him and perhaps others. But, looking around, he found others were like him. They were strange and bewildering to those who were of the norm. They wouldn't believe a man stuck in a rabbit costume could do such a thing to a girl that used to be like them. But then again, remnant could do such wondrous and also catastrophic things. A child may have been a good choice of thought, the process would be hefty and awkward but worth it. At least in their eyes. They were where they belonged and no one could judge what they brought into their family. Vanessa rubbed his ear gently. She did it in her spare time when he was asleep and she wasn't. The feeling of the fabric running along her skin brought comfort to her, one she couldn't explain well. It didn't hurt him so he never objected to it.

"Will we have to homeschool them? That's what Matt and Beatrice do with Springy." Vanessa asked, staring off and rubbing her thumb back and forth along Glitchtrap's ear. He looked up.

"Depends, the remnant might conceal them to the public eye. But that also depends on if they look like a human or not." He explained. Vanessa had a thought for a moment, if her child was human, how would they react to their father?

"I'm sure we can figure something out." he said, rubbing her back to try and ease her worries.

"I just hope they can have a normal life." She replied, looking over at him as she ran her hands along her stomach.

"Around here, anything can be normal, Love." He said, pulling her head towards his and planting a kiss against her forehead.

"I guess you're right."

"Would I lie to you?" He said, smirking a bit.
