Vanessa's eyes followed the motion of the animatronics, their movements much smoother than thought of what Glitchtrap was used to.
"It's incredible how realistically they can move." He commented quietly.
"It's state of the art technology I suppose." She whispered. Glitchtrap watched the mechanical animals rock on. He looked over in his ghost-like state, seeing a small girl standing not too far away, staring at the robots like they were.
The little girl seemed fixated on the robots. Her pumpkin colored hair was bright and the ends were tipped off with smooth blonde, the roots a dark reddish color. Her hair was made into too little even pigtails held together with beaded hair bands, it brought out her mismatched eyes. Her left was blue and her right was a bright, rare, emerald green. It reminded him of his own daughters and Vanessa's. The girl wore a soft pink hoodie and a hot pink skirt with furls on the end of a softer shade. Her shoes were simple flats with velcro straps and little golden buttons on the toe ends, almost like jester shoes. Her socks were plain white and had the same furls of soft rose.
Something about this girl stuck out to him like a sore thumb. It gave him a weird churning but warm feeling. He felt the need to reach out to the girl, but upon getting close to her he phased through. Reality had set in again, she couldn't see him and he couldn't touch her. He just felt something familiar about her.
Vanessa was still focusing on the robot's smooth movements. He looked and could see the girl had a plush of the main man. Glamrock Freddy. He didn't understand the naming, he never did. The girl seemed to have just as blank of an expression as Vanessa did. It was like they were entranced. He went back to Vanessa and ran his hand over her shoulder, he felt her shiver in surprise.
"Don't do that!" She yelled quietly.
"Sorry." He said, "That little girl, she looks...familiar." He said, she could hear the tone in his voice. He was certainly confused. Vanessa looked and saw the fiery haired girl. The girl noticed her staring and ran off, like kids usually tended to do if they were too shy to confront someone. Vanessa hummed.
"Weird." She mumbled.
Her eyes watched the girl run off, she could see the little girl run to a familiar figure. Something about her sparked her memory. That woman they came across that suddenly just disappeared. Vanessa could see she was wearing a black above-the-knee leather skirt. Her shirt was red with black stripes. Her boots were tall and had thick heels. Her eyes widened, the woman had messy orange hair with red and cyan strips of dye. Her hair was tied up like the little ones with silver holders. She could see the woman had a full prosthetic hand, it seemed to fully work as a normal hand. She was chewing on a sucker, the stick hanging out off her lips. Her eyes were an odd turquoise color, she had to be wearing contacts as there was no way they could be natural.
"Is that...that hooker?" Glitchtrap asked, not sure if he remembered correctly. Vanessa felt her rage build up.
"I'm not letting her get away this time" She said, watching the woman walk away with the little girl and letting her get into a car that was leaving. Vanessa followed the woman close behind, she had a fur jacket, dressing like she owned more than thought.
"Vanny, stay focused. Don't let a stranger get you set off." He said, "Though, she does look rather familiar."
"That's why we need to follow her!" She whispered desperately. Glitchtrap watched as Vanessa followed the woman. They ended up at an old apartment complex, it would've looked abandoned if it weren't for the few cars parked out front. Vanessa ran up the sidewalk and slowed her pace so as to not draw attention from the lady. She quietly stepped up the stairs, trying to keep up close to her. The woman pulled keys from her jacket pockets and unlocked a door, presumably her apartment. Vanny pulled her rabbit mask from her jacket and put it on, slowly she drew her butterfly knife. She followed silently inside. She could see the woman sitting on her couch, watching TV and smoking.
"Why...does she look like Elizabeth?..." Glitchtrap asked quietly, not wanting Vanny to hear. She flipped the blade out and caught the handles, holding them together. She could see the emerald necklace showing in the dark from the light of the TV.
Vanny charged at her and sliced blindly. A clink was heard as Vanny's eyes met with a large metal claw, clamping against the blade.
"And what do you think you're doing, punk?" The woman said, her voice was surprisingly clear despite being shrouded in the stench of smoke and tobacco. She could see her face was covered in makeup, thick mascara and bright lavish-me-red lipstick. She knew the brand all too much, her mother wore it constantly. It made her brow furrow.
Vanny swung her blade out and went to gut the woman. She grunted and dodged, the blade narrowly missing her. The woman swung her massive claw and knocked the knife from Vanny's hand.
"Not so powerful now, are yah?" The woman teased, charging at her. Vanny dipped backwards and caught the woman on the soles of her feet, pushing up she tossed her behind herself. The woman hit the wall, busting one of the shelves down.
She landed on the floor and Vanny could hear an enraged growl. She didn't take but seconds to find her ground again. Vanny got into position, she needed to be careful of her weapon. Glitchtrap cried out to try and stop her. She didn't listen as the woman ran at her again. Vanny ducked and moved away from the swinging view of the metallic cracker. Vanny grabbed a broom nearby and smacked the woman in the face with it. She spun it to the opposite end and darted it into her torso, knocking her back.
The woman was pinned to a wall, glaring all the while Vanny shoved the broom against her windpipe.
"Enough!" Glitchtrap's voice boomed, an energy surge of magenta knocking them apart from each other. Vanny rubbed her head and sat up. The woman's hand shifted back into a simple hand, looking up she saw the large rabbit suit. He was phasing into reality slowly. But surely his form became a real deal. He glared with strong purple eyes. The woman's gaze shot open and she got up.
"You." She growled. Glitchtrap gently picked Vanny up.
"You're the one who hurt her!"
"Yes, I know. I can't make up for what I've done but that doesn't mean you can attack me blindly. Vanny gets ahead of herself and sometimes lets her anger control her. We'll be leaving now." He said guiding the dazed girl in his arms out of the building. The woman went to object but couldn't seem to find the words, watching him leave without another word said between the three.
Glitchtrap looked behind him briefly as he glimpsed at the apartment buildings, "Forgive me, Lizzie." He mumbled, holding Vanessa closer.
