This is a sad one...

---

Another month passed before Merlin came up to me and randomly blurted out, "I'm ready."

I cocked my head at him and he sighed. "I have kept you from your family long enough. When you arrive I will already be there. You should return home."

Even though I knew I would be seeing him soon, I couldn't help but tear up. I'm not ready to say goodbye to everyone. Not while knowing they will live the rest of their lives wondering where I am. Unless they forget. I hope they forget.

"We should go find the others." I whisper, taking his hand and leading him to the training ground.

As soon as the Knights see our forlorn faces they knew exactly what was about to happen. Arthur cleared the training field, giving us some much needed privacy.

"It's time?" Gwaine asked, voice cracking. I nod my head unable to form the words. Gwaine rushed forward and hugs me tightly, letting out a small sob. I try my best to put on a brave face but the facade cracks instantly when I see the tears falling down Arthur's face.

I never thought I would see a king cry.

I went round each knight, thanking them for making this stay as welcoming as possible. When I reach Merlin I break completely, unable to hold back the flood of emotions. The others step back giving us a shred of privacy.

"It's okay. I will see you soon." I continue to cry into his shoulder. "I'm going to miss you, Peter Parker." Merlin said before kissing me.

"See you soon." I whisper in-between kisses. Merlin laughs slightly and pulls away. Before the others rejoin us he wipes away my tears and plants a final kiss on my forehead.

"Are you ready?" He asks, eyes already glowing gold. I nod hesitantly, taking one final look at my friends. Horrible thoughts flick reel through my mind. What if my spell doesn't work? I will never see Merlin again.

All it takes is one look into those intoxicating eyes to scatter all my doubts.

This will work. It has to work.

With a deep breath I close my eyes and nod at merlin. He begins to chant, voice thick with tears. When I open my eyes a shroud of silver mist is swirling at my feet, slowly climbing up my body.

"Goodbye" I whisper as I feel the spell take effect.

Then it all went black.
