Chapter 15

Karen and I.

Running in a big hallway.

That's our situation right now.

Besides us, there's loud steps inside the museum, means hindi nalang kami ang tao dito.

"Karen! hindi diyan!" Pabulong kong sigaw sa kasama ko na tatanga-tanga dahil pupunta pa siya sa ibang direksiyon.

Napa-kamot nalang siya sa ulo bago sumunod ulit sa akin.

We're approaching the room where the clock is located.

The glass door is within our reach, kaya nang mahaplos ko iyon agad ko itong tinulak.

And.. shit, it's locked.

I pressed my earpiece to talk to Althea. "Thea, can't you open this thing?" I asked still shaking the door.

"No Mace, hindi na siya kontrolado ng Main control."

I sighed.

Lumuhod bigla si Karen at may tinignan sa baba ng glass door, of course I got curious too kaya lumuhod din ako.

She's pointing at a key hole.

We looked at each other thinking of a way para mabuksan ito.

It's risky if we will smash this glass door, mag-iingay lang kami at hindi ko pa magagawa ang pakay ko dito.

Luminga-linga ako sa paligid, there's no way na hindi ko ito mabubuksan right here, right now.

Then my eyes went on Karen's hair.

My eyes glistened and pulled out the pink and glittery hairpin on Karen's hair.

"Aray letse!!" She glares at me while holding here head. "Ikaw na nga tinutulungan nananakit ka pa."

I groaned and rolled my eyes.

I showed her the hairpin at nanlaki ang mga mata niya.

I immediately unfolded the hairpin at tinapat ko ang flashlight ko sa keyhole, I began to insert the hairpin within the lock.

"Putangina ka, Althea. Sabing 'wag mo lagay sa anit ko yung letseng ipit na yun eh." Narinig kong ungot ni Karen.

I don't have time to concentrate with her problem and instead just focused on unlocking this damn door.

Mabilis ang mga galaw ko, may hinahabol akong oras.

I fumbled and shifted in until I heard a loud click as the lock came loose and freed the door.

Got it.

I pushed the door aside and immediately run inside with Karen following me.

There it is.

Kita ko palang sa lugar kung nasaan kami ni Yosef kanina, ang dami ko nang naalala agad.

Stupid, Mace. Get your head in the game!

Tinapat ko ang flashlight sa nagnining-ning na orasan.

"Ow shit! parehong-pareho nung hawak mo." Karen whispered.

Umikot ako para makita ang likod nito.

Then there I saw the only proof that I need.

'REPLICA'

Iyon ang nakasulat sa salamin na pumoprotekta dito sa likod.

So... that means that I'm holding the real so called 'The lost clock of the Philippines'.
