You transferred to Hogwarts from Ilvermorny during your second year. Your father had passed away from a car accident during your last month at Ilvermorny and being in that house was too much for your mother. You being twelve, you didn't really understand what was happening and why you had to leave. You enjoyed Ilvermorny, you had many friends there, but no matter what you said, your mom made you leave.

Your mother decided to take you to Elstree, London, to live with your grandparents. You've only met them once, but that's when you were born, so you don't remember them. They were nice and loving towards you. They helped you and your mother a lot when you first moved. Learning all the changes, helping you learn the new language and even found your mother a job at your grandmothers old job after she retired. Your mother had enough money already saved and thought about buying you guys your first house, but your grandparents aren't doing so well, so you guys decided to stay here.

Your first year at Hogwarts didn't go so good. You were sorted into Hufflepuff which is compared to your old house, Pukwudgie, and that was one the only good thing that happened. Apparently this girl named Ginny opened the Chamber of Secrets and a lot of stuff started to go wrong. You became friends with Hermonie Granger towards the end of that year (she was a muggle-born too) and you slowly started to hang around her other friends Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.

Last year, you made friends with Cedric Diggory who is in your own house which was great since you needed a friend to talk to when you couldn't be around Hermonie.

That year didn't go any better.

A guy named Sirius Black escaped Azkaban to kill Harry, but it turned out that he was his Godfather, so it all worked out in the end. Except for the part where you started to develop a crush on a Slytherin boy named Draco Malfoy. Malfoy was the worst wizarding student that Hogwarts has in your year. He hates, truly hates muggle-borns. He calls you and Hermonie mudbloods all the time. It stopped bothering you after the first twenty times, but you think it still bothers Hermonie a little.

This year you hope that you don't have many classes with Slytherin or your life is going to be hell because for some reason, Draco is always in that class.

'(y/n)!' You hear your mother call you from downstairs. 'It's time to go, hurry or we're gonna be late.'

'Coming!'

You grab your trunk and run down the stairs. Everything else is already waiting by the door. You put your finger in your cats cage and she licks your finger.

'It's that time of year again, Ella. I bet you'll be excited to see Crookshanks again.' You say smiling at her. She gives you a low growl and you laugh a little.

'I'm ready, mom.' You call out to her. You walk around to the living room and give your grandparents a hug and a kiss before walking to the door.

'Have a great year, (y/n) write to us please. We love hearing from you.' Your grandmother says. You walk back into the living room and give her another hug.

'I will. I always do.' She smiles at you and you tell them bye again. You walk back to the door and look at your mom. 'I'm ready.' And with that, you two put your trunks and cat in the car and head for King's Cross.

'I hate seeing you go every time.' Your mother says to you while holding your shoulders. She bring you in for a hug and you hug her back, holding back some tears.

It's hard leaving your mom, it always is. But ever since your dad passed, it's even harder. Even though she has her parents with her, it isn't the same without your dad there. But, she knows you'll have a great time, you've come to love Hogwarts a little more than Ilvermorny. She knows how much you adore your friends and love magic. Magic helped you a lot after your dad passed and your mom was glad that you had something to help you get through it.

You look up at her and give her a smile. 'I'll see you at Christmas and I'll write you and grandma and grandpa every chance I get.'

She gives you a kiss on the head. 'I love you.'

'I love you too.'

'(y/n)!'

You look behind you and see Hermonie. You wave bye to your mom and walk over to Hermonie.

'How have you been? It's been ages!' She asks me. 'I wish you would've came to the Quidditch World Cup with us, it was amazing until the Death Eaters arrived.'

You give her a shocked look.

'I'll explain on the train, you will sit with us, won't you?' She asks with a big smile on her face.

'Of course! I need to hear all about it! Sounds exciting and scary. How have the boys been?'

'Oh God, they...' She says as you two walk towards the train.

As soon as she begins talking you trail off, you feel like you're being stared at. You look to your right and notice Malfoy and his two goons staring at you. He gives you a smirk and raises both of his eyebrows very quickly before giving you a glare. You can tell he mouthed the words 'filthy mudblood' but you just let it go and get on the train with Hermonie.
