You're sitting in one of the compartments with Hermonie, Harry and Ron. The train left King's Cross about two hours ago and you guys barely even said a word to each other.

'Anything off the trolley dears?' You hear from the hall.

Ron immediately gets up and starts looking at the cart.

'A Packet of drewbals and a licorice wand.' He's quiet for a moment then says, 'on second thought, just the drewbals.'

'Here, Ron. This should help you cover it.' You say holding out your hand to give him some money. He turns around and takes it.

'Thank you.'

He grabs the candy and sits back down.

'So, now that I have some kind of food,' Ron starts, 'there isn't anything to say about the Wizard World Cup since my team lost. That was the worst part about it, obviously.'

Hermonie hits Ron on the shoulder with her book.

'How can you say that, Ronald?! We saw his mark. And apparently the ministry knows nothing about it!' Before she could continue we notice Harry rubbing his scar. 'It's hurting again, your scar, isn't it?' She says a little more quietly.

'This sounds bad, Harry. You need to let Sirius know what's going on.' You say. Ron and Hermonie nod their heads in agreement. 'We're here for you, you know.'

Harry gives you guys a weak smile and goes back to looking out the window.

'So it wasn't fun before the Death Eaters came?'

'No, it was,' Harry says, 'we used an old boot as a port key to get there. That was fun, never done that before. Oh, your friend Cedric was there too. The tent that we stayed in was huge! I love magic, its brilliant. The way it looks so small on the outside but all seven of us fit perfectly in the inside.'

'The game was amazing. It made me wish I should've tried for Quidditch a long time ago,' Ron says, 'I can't talk about it anymore, I'm still upset that my team lost.' He pretends to wipe away a fake tear.

It got quiet again. You guess they're still shook up about the event a little bit. You decided to get up and leave.

'I'll be right back.' You tell them and head out into the hallway.

'(y/n)' you hear Hermonie say.

'I'm okay. Just need some air.' You smile at her and leave, shutting the door behind you.

You start walking towards the bathrooms just to stretch your legs, you hate sitting for long periods at a time. It was a long ride to Hogwarts and you couldn't sit—or stand—the awkward silence any longer. Out here you could hear the chatter of people standing around or who are sitting in their compartments.

After sometime, you decide to head back to your friends. You turn around and bump into someone.

'Oh! I'm so s-' you say, but stop immediately when you notice who it was.

'Watch where you're going, mudblood.' Draco says looking down at you.

You stand up and start to walk away, but he pushes you against the wall.

'You need to apologize to me. You're not going anywhere until you do.'

You look down at the floor and mumble that you're sorry. He grabs your chin with his pointer finger and makes you look him in the eyes.

'Look me and apologize!' He says loudly. It's weird. He's by himself. He always has Parkinson and Crabbe and Goyle near him. Maybe he was just tired of them and needed a break. Parkinson was so clingy to him, you don't blame him if that was the reason.

You look Draco in the eyes. You started to develop a crush on him last year, but you never knew how pretty his eyes were until now. You've never even been this close to him.

'I'm sorry.' You say a little louder, looking into his eyes.

'Better.' He says before letting you go and walking away.

You watch him walk off and he turns around and looks at you. Before you turned away you could have sworn he winked at you. 'The Draco Malfoy, wink at you? Haha, funny. You're a 'mudblood' you're surprised he even took the time to make you apologize.'

You brush the thought away and head back to Harry, Ron and Hermonie. You stand outside the door and you could hear them arguing. What could they possibly be arguing about now? You think. You open the door and they immediately get quiet.

'Did I interrupt something?' You ask while standing by the door. 'Because if so, I can leave, it's not a problem.'

Hermonie reaches her hand out to you and you grab it. She guides you to sit down and you do.

'Everything's okay, we promise. The boys are going to go change because we will be arriving soon and you and I... need to talk.' She says giving Ron and Harry a glare.

They just look at her while she motions her head towards the door. They both sigh and get up and leave, shutting the door.

'So,' she starts off, 'I seen the look you had.'

You look at her in confusion.

'What are you talking about Hermonie?'

'Well, you were gone for some time so I decided to go looking for you. I know Malfoy isn't the nicest to you or I, but I know you like him.' She looks out the door and you both see Malfoy walk past. 'He has no friends on this side of the train. They're all up towards the front. I wonder what he could be doing back here?' She says smiling.

You look out the compartment to see Malfoy walk past the compartment again, but this time in the opposite direction. You catch a glimpse of him looking in before walking away again.

'That means nothing.' You tell her. 'I'm sure he's just looking for someone to annoy. Or maybe he lost his goons on the train.' You stop for a second. 'Wait, if you saw us, why didn't you say something.'

'By the time I got there he said said 'better' and let you go. Then I noticed you started walking back, so I came back to tell the boys that I found you.'

'It wasn't a problem anyway. He didn't hurt me. I'm sure if it was a problem, you would have helped me, right?' You ask a little quietly. You like Hermonie, she was the first friend you made at Hogwarts. You hope that she would always be there for you like you will for her. You can't lose her.

'Of course! I wouldn't do that to you. You're one of my best friends.' She smiles at you. 'I wouldn't leave you to handle something like that by yourself. If you don't remember, I did punch him last year. I'm not afraid to stand up to him, especially when it comes to my friends.'

You laugh a little. It was amazing when she punched him. You never expected her to do something like that.

'Something funny?' Harry asks.

'Oh, good, you guys are back. (y/n) and I will go change now. I hope you two can manage by yourselves. You took long enough to get changed.'

You and Hermonie walk out of the compartment. As you're walking behind her, someone grabs your wrist and pulls you into an empty compartment.
