"Loki was the love of my life." You said, looking back at him, the tears flowing again. "You gave up the last of the love in your heart. You let the evil guide you. And look at the power you've gained from it. You're The Great Phoenix Y/n. The power you could have attained by taking the throne." She said. "No. You would have taken the throne anyway. And I didn't give up the last of the love in my heart." You said."The light of my life may be dead, but his light lives on in me. Loki, he may be gone but I'm still here. And now that I have the power to defeat you,
I will. And I'll take the throne. And I will defeat you Hela." You said. "What power do you have to stop me Y/n. The power of love? Pathetic." She chuckled."You said it yourself. I'm the Great Phoenix. I have more power than Odin could have ever dreamt of. And we all know you're not as powerful as him." You took your fighting stance. "Wrong choice of words." She said, standing, drawing two swords.
"Swords?" You smirked. "Alright if you want it to be fair game." You formed two swords with your fire. She ran at you, and you fought back. The two of you battled for a long time, trying your best to keep her away from Loki, who hung limp from the spike sticking out of his torso. There was blue blood all over the ground. Loki himself had also turned blue.
"You're thinking about him." Hela smiled. "Well he was my boyfriend." You said. "And I loved him." You smirked. "The Great Phoenix? In love with the god of mischief? How cute." She said, dropping her swords. "Why'd you-" you heard growling behind you. You turned and saw a giant grey wolf standing behind you, teeth bared and snarling. "Well aren't you cute." You beat your wings, flying into the air. "Alright Phoenix. Let's kill wolf." You shut your eyes tight, focusing on the Phoenix. You opened your eyes, and saw yourself surrounded by fire. You panicked, before realizing you were the Phoenix, literally.
You flew down on the dog, him burning to ashes. "You're next you wench." You landed behind her. "This is for my boyfriend." You smirked. A white flash of light, and Hela was gone.
"Where am I?" Loki sat up. "My son." Loki turned around and saw Frigga standing behind him. Loki jumped up. "Mother!" He smiled and ran toward her, holding her tightly. "I'm so sorry. You are my mother. You always have been. I love you so much. I'm so sorry." Loki said. "My love, it's alright. You did what you had to do. It was your destiny." She smiled warmly. "Wait..something's not right. Am I dreaming?" He said. Frigga shook her head. "Odin should have told you you had a sister. She's fighting Y/n now." Frigga said. "You mean," Loki stepped back. "Am I dead?" Loki said. Frigga nodded. "No. No I can't- Y/n, she needs me. She is the love of my life. I can't, I can't join you in Valhalla. I'm sorry mother, I have to go back." He said.
"I'm afraid you don't have a choice my darling." She said, reaching out for his arm. "No!" Loki snapped. "She doesn't have the means to go on without me. You don't understand." He said. "Y/n defeated Hela. She's okay. Y/n will be fine without you." Frigga said.
You sat at your vanity one morning as the palace maids swarmed around you, preparing you for your coronation. It'd been a few days since Loki died. You weren't sure if you had what it took to go on without him. You had the love in your heart to defeat Hela, but you weren't sure if you had the love in your heart to rule a kingdom. Let alone nine. "Magda, do you know of any laws saying I'll need to marry?" You asked quietly. "I don't believe there is one your majesty." She said.
Your dress was white, and it complimented your wings beautifully. "You're ready?" Magda asked. "Yes. Thank you so much." You laid your hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure that Loki is watching proudly from Valhalla." Magda smiled. "I hope so." You rubbed your arms.
"Do you swear to govern the people of Asgard under a fair rule as long as your life allows it?" The priest asked. "I swear." You said solemnly. "Do you swear to lead your people in ways that will show leadership to the nine realms and to all worlds after?" He said. "I swear." You said. "Do you swear to protect the nine realms with everything you have, even if it be your own life as the cost?" He smiled. "I swear." You said.
"Then, by the power vested in me by the great Kings before you, I declare you, Y/n L/n, the Great Phoenix, Queen of Asgard." He placed the crown on your head, and you rose, smiling softly. The citizens around you erupted into applause. Thor cheered from the audience. He told you that you needed to be the one to take the throne. Something about needing to be who he was; and not who he was meant to be.
"Long live the queen!" The priest said."You don't understand. I have to get back to her." He said. "Is this not what you want? Did you not miss me?" Frigga frowned. "Of course I did. You're my mother. My heart belonged to you. You were my source of power, the love I drew my magic from." Loki smiled. "But now it's her. Without Y/n, I am nothing. She is the light of my life. Without her, I don't know what I am." He said. Frigga smiled, tears gleaming in her regal eyes. "I have taught you well my son." She squeezed his hands. "Your Y/n has just been crowned Queen of Asgard." Frigga said. "That's my girl." He smirked. "She thinks of you every moment of every day. She doubts herself. The love in her heart." She said. "Now you know why I must go back." Loki said. Frigga nodded.
