Summary:
A story of TaeKook bringing TaeKookMin to completion.
Polyamorous.
~oooOooo~
They were playing video games. Taehyung was more than a little pissed that Jungkook had killed him again. He had just talked him into another game, bribing him with the promise of popcorn and kisses after, when he heard Jimin coming into the room.
"Taehyung-ah," Jimin said softly as he approached his two best friends. Jungkook was sprawled out on the floor with his head in Taehyung's lap as he played video games. "Can I--"
Taehyung looked at the boy before him, tilting his head to one side, considering his friend.
"How..." Jimin tried, the bravery he had momentarily found leaving him now that he was in the presence of these two.
Taehyung blinked at Jimin expectantly, waiting for his friend to find his voice and speak as Jungkook put the game on pause for a moment to look at Jimin as well. Jimin looked between them wishing he could find a hole to fall into. Both of them were looking at him, interested in what he had to say, waiting for him to say something... He hadn't thought this through. He wasn't ready. The panic building in his mind threatened to make him bolt out of the room.
"Ya, Jiminie!" Jungkook exclaimed. He was watching something on the TV blink. "I'm behi-"
"How...do I tell someone...I like them?" Jimin cut in, finding his nerves but losing them again as his words spilled out. His voice grew softer and softer as he spoke, an unusual shyness taking him over, causing him to look away.
The room went silent.
Jimin wondered if he had passed out and this was all a dream - almost wished that were so.
Then Jungkook spoke, his voice low and serious. "Actions speak louder than words, you know," Jungkook said, the memory of Taehyung's overdue confession still fresh in his mind. "If you like someone, show them."
Jungkook had remembered most fondly how Taehyung had been covered in sweat, his complexion pale, forehead crinkled in worry. He had never seen his friend so nervous in all the time that he had known him.
"Hyung?" he had asked, somewhat concerned.
That was when Taehyung had closed his eyes, taken a deep breath, slowly leaned in, and claimed Jungkook's lips in a soft, sweet kiss before pulling back to look the younger man in the eyes, leaving Jungkook completely stunned. Jungkook had just stood there, eyes wide in shock, as he processed all that had happened. In hindsight, it had been the conversation of his life even if it had taken the two of them hours to get through the nervousness - the absolute newness of it all.
Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"How?" Jimin asked, his head tilted in confusion.
"Kiss her?" Taehyung said, sounding unsure. He hadn't been aware that Jimin liked anyone in that way. He was kind of at a loss for words.
"What is this person like?" Jungkook asked, throwing his controller on the ground so that Jimin would have his undivided attention.
Jimin just shrugged, unsure of how to describe the way he felt. He didn't know how he had gotten here or why he had opened his stupid mouth. Maybe it was seeing them there looking so comfortable with each other - so perfectly right. Maybe he wanted to join them, wanted them to accept him too? 'Jen-jang', he mumbled under his breath. He knew he should have gone out like the hyungs had. He should have let his friends have the house to themselves to do... whatever they wanted to do. But... he didn't. He didn't want to leave. He wanted to be with them... and then he'd put his foot in his mouth.
