Don't think of anything
Don't say anything, not even a word
Just give me a smile
I still can't believe it
All of this seems like a dream
Don't try to disappear

For the first time in longer than Jimin could remember, Bangtan Sonyeondan had been granted a break from working. Jin had gone home to see his family; Hoseok and Namjoon left for Jeju Island for the next few days. Yoongi was using the time to lay down tracks for a song he had been asked to write and Jungkook had taken the night to have dinner with his close group of idol friends. That left just Jimin and Taehyung in the dorms to fend for themselves.
"Taehyung-ah," Jimin said softly from where he sat on the couch, his arms wrapped around one of the men he truly loved.
"Mmm?" Taehyung vocalized, more relaxed now than he had been in many, many weeks.
"Let me take you out to dinner," Jimin said, a small ball of nerves beginning to form in the pit of his stomach.
The maknae line had gone places together many times before but not once had Jimin and Taehyung gone somewhere without their third piece. Well, not since they were a 'them'. Taehyung and Jimin were notorious for being off together when they were back in school - long before Bangtan was even a thing. From the moment they met, they had been fast friends. Lunch together? Of course. Hanging out after classes to do homework? No brainer. Movies, arcade, whatever they could get into that day? Absolutely. There wasn't one without the other. Close was too weak a word to define them. They were VMin before Taehyung was even 'V'.
But this was different. This was a date.
Well, not really a 'date'...? They were already together. They already loved each other more than they could express in words, so they weren't really getting to know each other that way. But this was something...else. Not new, but kind of. Not scary, but there was an undeniable wow present, for sure.
Jungkook had suggested that the two of them take the night to do something fun, just the two of them together, promising to join them for a quiet night later on. They were so used to being a threesome, always together and loving it, that it almost felt like a betrayal to be two. But Jimin pushed that thought aside. Being together, sharing their love with each other, was all that mattered, whether as a twosome or a threesome.
Gosh, Jimin was excited.
"Where to?" Taehyung asked, curling more in to Jimin, loving the feeling of the man beneath him.
"Let's walk the marketplace and eat off of food trucks and not count how many calories we have," Jimin said softly as he brushed the hair gently from Taehyung's eyes.
In light of the break BigHit had surprised Bangtan with, the stylists hadn't bothered to cut any of their hair. Taehyung's was finally starting to grow shaggy and long. Jimin couldn't help himself when he reached up to run his fingers through Taehyung's silky locks, constantly sweeping his bangs from his eyes in love and adoration. Jimin thought Taehyung's longer hair made him look closer to an angel than he already did. He secretly wished that Taehyung would keep it long like this all the time.
