The sun and I meet clandestinely
It whispers good night
Spilling our secret
To all of the sky
And to all of the Earth
Our secrets invade every house on the block
With the golden sunset shadows
Where everyone looks,
But no one knows to look for
In the afterglow
The sun tries to linger
Holding on for all that's worth
For a little longer
But it's already lost
And on the days we fight,
The stars try to erase eachother,
Dull their own glitter
And the entirety of sky weeps for us,
While the people of the Earth
Have no clue what its for
And in the evening,
Every sign of the sun and I,
Is the moon in the morning light
Melting away into the horizon
Like, I've never belonged to this world
Nor have I ever existed
