Two days later, Jimin and Hoseok had put their plans into action. They had discussed the terms of Jimin's leave in a much more equal way where both of them understood what was needed of each other.
The terms decided were the following:
-Jimin was to be present in all the meetings it seemed fit for him to be in, and if he wasn't present, he was to be briefed on everything decided and, if necessary, what was also thought of.
-He was to work in the front desk 2 days a week from 9 to 5, since it was kind of illegal for him to do more than that under the soulmate regulations. That gave him time to be distracted while he wasn't able to be spending time with Yoongi who also happened to have a life outside of their developing relationship.
That was it. So, how come something so simple as that took so long to figure out, both of them couldn't really tell why, they were just glad the problem was over and done with.
Jimin was now sitting on a class he was supposed to be giving had he not met Yoongi the month before. He couldn't sit there and say he wasn't still a bit mad about not being able to dance but he was grateful to have met Yoongi nonetheless.
"Okay kids." Hoseok's voice interrupted the chatter created by the students gathered around the room. "Take a break, you can leave the room to go to the bathroom if you need to, just don't leave the studio at all. We'll be back in 10!"
"Well done guys!" Jimin said to the trio teenagers who approached him as soon as the class dispersed, Yeojin was amongst them "Even though I can't really hear the music your counting has gotten a lot better."
"Thank you!" they all said in unison.
"So, how is it?" one of them asked.
"Lili..." Yeojin nudged the girl beside her "Don't do that."
"What?" Jimin laughed at their curiosity about the whole thing "Yeojin you got to ask, let them do it as well, it's okay, what do you want to know?
"How is not being able to hear music?" Lili asked more directly.
"Hmm, it's not that I can't listen to it, I just can't tell it apart at all. Like you know that static sound old TVs made when they couldn't catch a signal."
They all shook their heads.
"God... I'm old. Okay well I'm sure you've heard white noise stuff to fall asleep, no?" They nodded understanding what he meant this time around "Okay, great. That's what it is! And after a while you just get so used to it that it doesn't bother you anymore."
"Oh, that's freaky."
"Hey..." one of the three, Jimin couldn't tell who, softly warned their friend.
"It's okay, you guys are scared, I get that, I was too... to be quite frank with you I still am. Losing music for dancers is hard, I didn't want to meet my soulmate at all. But I did, and it's not so bad." They all looked at him in awe, captivated by his words and experience. "He works with music too so he understands what it's like to lose the thing that powers what you love most. Don't be afraid, it won't be as bad as you think it is."
"Wow... Mr Jimin you're so cool." Yeojin said in awe.
"None of that, now come on. Go drink some water before class carries on!" He rushed his students, planning on getting a word with Hoseok before it did carry on. "Also don't forget to stretch at home as well whenever you don't have class. I do that too even when I'm not dancing like you guys."
"Yes!" the trio said in unison once again as they then moved to the other side of the room, talking between themselves
Jimin smiled, they really were precious. Oh, how he missed teaching them. His heart held onto the bitter feeling of being there and not to be able to do what he loved most but somehow, just how he got used to the white noise music had become, he got used to pain that came from it.
