"Yoongi." Seokjin called out.
He didn't reply, limiting himself to stare at the TV before him as replaying the news that were just announced. Yoongi couldn't believe it. The way everything changed in a matter of seconds with their fight, with this news. What was he supposed to do now? Take the shot and go back to work, stop caring about Jimin and wish they'd never have to meet again, try to forget soulmates are even a thing and that he just ruined everything with his? That seemed so cruel. He never wanted this, Yoongi was just insecure and he let that get to him but he didn't want to be apart from Jimin... Ever.
His hands reached for the remote once more, this time to smash it against the wall causing Holly to wake up startled.
"Hey!" Seokjin reached for his friend "Take it easy. Come on, calm down."
Yoongi refused to look at Seokjin who fought with his grasp to get a hold of his anger. His eyes were swelling up and his chest felt like bursting, something he had never felt before. The urge to yell was getting bigger and bigger but Yoongi knew he couldn't do so, Seokjin wasn't the one to blame or to yell at. It was himself who was at blame for all of this, Yoongi was the one who got annoyed and fought with Jimin, he was the one who insinuated Jimin was doing it just to go back to work. He had been the one ruining everything so it was unfair to scream at anyone else but himself.
"What am I going to do..." his lips were shaking along with his voice who sounded weak. "I messed up so bad."
Seokjin noticed the tears in Yoongi's eyes leaving him taken a back. He had never seen him like this.
"Yoongi..." The oldest took his friend into his grasp not letting him escape no matter how many punches he was throwing at Seokjin's chest. Soon enough the punches died down and his sobs increased faster than any of the two expected.
"Hyung..." He bawled everything out, at some point his throat had gotten dry and he started to feel headaches from all the pain going through his body but Yoongi couldn't stop it, it was like he had just found out his life was over. It felt like it, anyways. Jimin had thrown him out of his life and now they had the chance to ignore the natural course of soulmate systems with a simple temporary vaccine. He felt betrayed and confused not knowing what to do next. Get back to work? Try to apologize to Jimin one more time? How was one supposed to act after all of this? How was one supposed to live after such heartbreak?
Seokjin didn't know what to do so he just stood there hugging Yoongi as he cried every bit of frustration and sadness, he had in him.
"You'll figure this out." Seokjin tightened his grip for a second.
Yoongi stepped back looking at him. "He's going to get the shot until he can do the surgery and he's going to forget about me."
"Jimin's not like that." Seokjin pulled Yoongi back into the hug "And you know that."
"I said things I shouldn't have." Yoongi sobbed once more "He hates me."
"We all say thing we shouldn't have." Seokjin was the one to break the hug this time, leading Yoongi to sit back on the couch with him "And look at me...he doesn't hate you. He adores you more than I've seen anyone adore anyone else, he's just hurt. Jimin is not like that."
"He doesn't want to see me anymore." Yoongi grunted as he threw his body back into the couch and greeted Holly who came onto his lap. "Made that pretty clear today."
"Yoongi. He's hurt." Seokjin repeated himself "After all you've said I'd be hurt too and I'm not your soulmate, so I can't imagine how hurt he must feel right now."
