"And this is your pancake.." She said softly, her voice smooth and full of care for her two little boys. The sun showing her bright green eyes which was already enough to make any man fall for her, she didn't care for any other man besides her husband which was her world, her family was her world. "And this is yours j.." She started off, seeing her son frown made her face move and frown as well, soon scoffing playfully and letting out a laugh. "So sorry, 'message Man'Here is your pancake." She gently placed the fluffy pancake onto the cold plate, the delicate one. Just like her. "You boys and your silly names." She said with a light heart of hers, flashing her smile that was like a mirror to her son, message man."Mine is cool." Said the other boy, tugging at the sleeves of his sweater. "It is, Nicholas. I like it very much." Her heels hit at the floor, walking over to the sink and cleaning her hands from all the batter that was stuck to her. Nico flashed a grin at message man, message man let out a giggle which he gave a growl in return. It wasn't a grin of kindness, it was smug. He felt good after what his mother said. His mother liked his name.
Nico.
"Can we play with our powers today, momma?" Message man asked, his feet swinging underneath the table that Nico was just dying to kick at to hear some kind of cry of pain. The mother looked at them for a moment and hesitated, drying off her hands. "I rather wait for your father.." She muttered, Nico huffing and standing up as he threw out his half eaten pancake.
Message man had taken notice, standing up as he looked over at the trash can and then back to his brother who was walking away, most likely to this room."You shouldn't of asked that in front of your brother." She sighed, message man feeling his throat tighten. "Why can't Nico use his powers?" He asked weakly, he didn't mean to hurt his brother's feelings. "Honey.. they.." She was lost, trying to find the right words so she doesn't bash her son in front of her other child. "They are bad." She let out a gasp of air, forgetting she was even holding her breath while trying to think.
"Uh oh.." Is all his mother heard, turning around and slapping her hand over her mouth and waving her hand frantically at Nico like she was trying to calm him down just by hand moments, like it would work.
Nico stared with his dark red eyes now, "one, zero, one zero.." Message man mumbled, slowly walking up to him. "One.." He let out a squeak, falling to the floor as his cheek burned. " Nicholas..!" She cries out, holding message man close to her chest as he let out sniffles."I hate you" Nico spat out, but the words were useless to everyone in the family now. They heard it a million times, the hearts would of been gone with all the stabs from the words by now, thats why they needed their armor.
"I'm sorry.." Message man mumbled, he didn't use the armor. He didn't know how.

"I'm worried about Nico.." The whispers were a low and soft echo throughout the hallway, the mother had leaned on the wall with her arms crossed, the man just shook his head and sighed. "There is nothing we can do about him, he will grow up and he will learn from his past mistakes." The mother was furious with this statement, "Will he learn from a mistake from.. oh, I don't know, killing someone..!?"
"You don't trust your son, that's the problem." The father said, "he slapped his brother today..its not just anger issues. I knew when our sons were born with powers there would always be a Challenge but these powers.. they are evil, why can't you see that?" She had asked, her words harsh, the way she said everything was like her holding back a loud scream.
"I do see it. I'm sorry."
Nico stood in the dark, peeking his head out as he stared and listened, feeling his own anger bubbling up in his chest. He wants to show them how evil he can really be, if they all see that it's evil, then evil is what they will get. That was his mindset that was sugarcoating the real thing. Nico didn't want to show them anything, he didn't want to prove himself. He just wanted a reason to be a monster, a man of power and control. That's all he wants.
"You don't have to listen to them fight.." message man whispers, hiding something behind his back. "I have something to give you. As a sorry." He said sheepishly, looking down at his feet. Nico raised an eyebrow, "oh, okay..?"
"Follow me.." Message man grabbed gently at Nico's hand, Nico, hesitating before bed started to follow him to his bedroom. The once soft echoes were slowly escaping from his hearing.
Nico had a reason for hesitating to going to his brother's room, looking inside as he slowly stepped in, the shelf of trophies, family photos, all the newest toys.
It angered him.
He was always the favorite.
He always got everything."Can you close your eyes?" Message man asked him, Nico staring at him for a moment before shutting his eyes tight and leaning on the big fluffy bed that he would love to just melt into. "Okay.. look!" Message man called out making him wince, opening his eyes as they hurt, it hurt to look at what he was trying to see. "A grey... what?" Nico stutters.
The other boy frowned, holding up the bandanna. "It's a yellow bandanna.! You like mask.!"
"Yellow?" Nico asked once more, message man frowned, "You can't see.. yellow..?"
"No..I can't see yellow."
