"Chapter Two"

Jk's POV

The night at Katarina's place was epic. He doesn't know what to think by now. He knows that she's his best friend but why is he protective about her?

He was in deep thought when someone knocked on his door. He stood up, went to the door and open it. It's Vince his brother.

"Good morning bro, how was your sleep? I heard you came home late last night? Where have you been?" Vince asked her older brother. He went inside the room and sat on the corner of his bed.

"It's none of your business where I went to. Why do you have to know? As far as I remember you are not our parents. Will you please leave my room?" He pulled Vince up and usher him outside the room then said; "And bro, you should study harder. I heard your grades are not good. Mom and dad will be disappointed if they'll figure that out." Vince tried to reason out but then change his mind.

"Whatever. I know you're smart and I know that you went to Katarina. Maybe you should date her." Vince smiled before he turned his back and walk away.

Jk went back inside his room and went to the bathroom to take a shower. He almost forgot that he needs to go back at Katarina's place to check on her.

After he finished preparing his self, he went to the living room and asked Vince to tell their parents that he needs to go somewhere important, but before Vince can even reply, their parents arrived.

"Son you're going somewhere? Join us first for breakfast. I'm sure that can wait." Mrs. Lindsay Deville said with a smile on her pinkish lips.

"No mom, I'm so sorry but I'm in a hurry. Maybe I can just join you for lunch instead? Please mom promise I'll be back for lunch." Jk said while walking towards his mom and kissed her on her cheeks.

"Okay, lunch then it is. And please invite Katarina for lunch. It's been a while since we last saw her. Will you do that for us? We miss her son." Mr. George Deville said while tapping his shoulder.

"Okay dad, I'll tell Katarina about your invitation. For now, I really need to go." He excused himself and run quickly to the front door. He drove in silence.

When he arrived at Katarina's place, he parked his car beside Kat's car. Jk went to her unit and ring the doorbell. He's waiting for atleast 5minutes but no one answered.

He ring the bell again but there's no Kat appearing. He's getting worried sick while waiting. He sighed and decided to open the door himself. When he is about to open the door, Katarina showed up.

"Looks like you had a good night sleep. I can see the restoration of your spirit from your eyes." He winked at her and went inside.

"It's early Jk. Don't play your tricks on me. I'm not ready for teasing games right now." Kat said while yawning.

"Did you eat breakfast already? I can make some omelet and toast some bread for us. And what would you like coffee, tea, or milk?" Katarina asked him as she moves sideways to give him his way in.

"Anything would do. And ahm kidding aside, mom and dad wants you to come home with me later for lunch." Jk said while watching her move in the kitchen.

"You gotta be kidding me. What for? Any occasion?" Kat replied with a shaky voice .

"I am dead serious my friend. Dad says they miss you and that they want to see you. So, are you in?" He inquired.

"Well, does it seem like I have a choice? I'll come with you then. I don't want to disappoint Mr. and Mrs. Deville."

After cooking, she served their breakfast together with hot Latte. Few moments passed, and they both finished eating breakfast. Jk insisted on doing the dishes so she could take her bath and dress up.

Katarina went to her room picked some clothes from her dresser and went to the bathroom. It took Katarina atleast an hour to bathe and dress up. Jk was sitting on the sofa when she went back to the living room.

"How do I look? I didn't put on so much make-up. I want my style to be nice and simple." She smiled.

"You look fab and elegant. Your simplicity can capture any mans' heart. Do you know that?" Jk answered looking at her with full admiration.

"Stop with those compliments. You're making my head big." Katarina blushed and giggled.

"My compliments about you are true. So let's go?" Jk asked while looking at her face intently.

"Sure, let's go. I don't want your parents to wait longer. After all, I do miss them too." She smiled as she grabs her pouch and Jk's arm.

Mrs. Deville is a very nice woman. She is aristocratic in a lovely way. Everyone enjoys her company. Likewise Mr. Deville such an excellent man. He's as charming and adorable like his sons. The family Deville was the pride of their community.

Jk and Katarina arrived. They went inside the house as Mr. and Mrs. Deville approached her and hugged her. "Oh sweety you look simple but magnifico. You are a very pretty young lady." said Mrs. Deville.

"Sure she does my dear. Her simpleness compliments her undeniably. I'll totally want her for our son if you will ask me." added Mr. Deville

"Thank you so much for your kind words Mr. and Mrs. Deville. You both look young and stunning for me." said Katarina.

They all went to the dining area, where lots of food are served. They eat in pleasure while talking and laughing about their past. They even played cards and piano after tea.

Mr. and Mrs. Deville were delighted to have her. They both enjoy her company. When the afternoon came, Jk's parents received a call and had to leave at once so, Jk personally send her home.

"Thank you Kat. Till next time. Bye." Jk said.

"Welcome and thank you too." Katarina replied then close the door behind her.
