"Chapter Three"

*Eloisa Rein: Rm's Friend

Rm's POV

Rm can be described as the angel sent down from heaven. Good looking, strong built, handsome, intelligent, and friendly. He's every girls dream boy.

"I wonder what it feels to be famous just like Katarina Petrova? Are you not curious like me Eloisa?" Rm asked his friend Eloisa Rein a transferee at our society.

"To be honest I do. Well, we're not as elite as she is, but I don't think she'll bite. Does she?" El answered with a grin on her face.

"I hope so. She doesn't hang out with anyone aside from her rumored best friend Jk Deville. I wanna get close to her though." Rm said paying a swift glance at Katarina's direction.

"There's only one way to find out. You better watch, then learn." Before Rm could even answer, Eloisa hurriedly walk towards Katarina.

"Ehem. Ahm hi I am Eloisa Rein, I'm new here. I was just thinking if you can help me? I don't know where this department is located." Eloisa pointed at the west wing of the building on her mini map.

"Oh really, ahh sure I'll show you the way my next deparment is right on your department's way. By the way I'm Katarina Petrova." Kat offered her hand.

"Yes I know. What I mean is that you're too popular here. Everybody knows you. You are famous to be exact, and I know someone who wants to be friends with you." Eloisa said with a smile on her lips.

"Who wants to be friends with me? And why not come infront of me and ask me to be friends?" Katarina looks imploringly.

"Wait a second, I'll call him over. Hey Rm!! Come over here!" El shouted at Rm. The guy was shocked about the things had gone through.

"It's him. I think he's shy." Eloisa pinched Rm on the shoulder.

"I uh hmm hi Katarina I am Rm Salvatore. Nice to finally meet you like this face to face." He sounds nervous and shy.

"Well then hi, Katarina Petrova here. Please to meet you too. And please don't be shy or uncomfortable around me. I won't bite. By the way this is my best friend Jk Deville. Hope the four of us can be close friends starting today." Katarina said with a hopeful glance to each of them.

They answered on a chorus. "Yes, definitely." The four of them laughed and giggled at the same time. They exchanged glances.

"So ahm Katarina, Jk, I'll walk Eloisa to her department. My department is just next to hers. I'll see you guys later. El let's go." Rm grabbed Eloisa's arm and usher her away from the two.

"Oh come on Rm, what was that? You're almost speechless back there." Eloisa smiles at him.

"I got struck by her angelic face. She's prettier face to face than from afar. I can't believe it, I finally got to talk to her and for the great part. We are now friends with each other." Rm said looking at the skies and day dreaming.

"Come on you're imagining things already. Atleast now you have the opportunity to get closer to her. I told you she's cool." Eloisa said with dignity.

"Yeah, I'm day dreaming about bumping her somewhere again today. Don't be a spoiler will you?" Rm said a bit irritated.

"Oh here we are. So go on El and I'll see you later." Rm smiled and waved bye bye to his friend.

While he was walking, he saw Katarina sitting under the oak tree alone. He walked to her direction slowly.

"Hmm excuse me. Can I join you? You look devastated. Something wrong?" Rm asked with such concern.

Katarina smiled and said, "No, everything is fine. I'm just a bit tired. And I want to take in some fresh air." Katarina really sounds like an angel. She moves gracefully.

Rm can see by the looks of it that she has a problem, but he doesn't want to push her to tell him what bothers her. She look real tired.

"Don't you want to go to the clinic? You're not looking well." Rm suggested but before he could move, Katarina leaned her head on his shoulder and whisper.

"Can we please stay this way for a while. Even just a few minutes. Please Rm" Katarina said in a pleading voice.

"Ok." The only word that came out of his lips.

Rm doesn't feel comfortable. He worries about her. He can't stop thinking what might be the problem that makes her look that way.

"Kat I'll take you to the clinic. Please let me take you. I'm a bit worried bout you." Rm said in a melancholy voice.

Katarina refused. She lift up her head from his shoulder and gave him a sly smile.

"No, just take me to the cafeteria. I'll just have to eat and drink something hot. Trust me I'll be okay. I didn't have a decent breakfast today. So I guess, I got dizzy because I'm hungry." Kat replied to him.

"If that's the case, then what are we still doing here? Let's go and eat a lot at the cafeteria." Rm answered with a look of full concern for her.

She looked better, rather lively again after eating and having a nice sip of a hot chocolate.

"Thank you Rm. I owe you your time. I've been calling my best friend Jk but I think he's busy. Maybe he's with his girl." Katarina said in dismay.

"No worries, that's okay. And ahm here take my card. If anything like that happens again don't hesitate to call or text me. Okay?" Rm said holding out the card to her. She really looks lovely up close. He wonders if he has a chance to be her date for the upcoming ball.

Katarina took the card from him and read it. "Thank you. I'll save your digits then. Your such a sweet, and gentleman kind of guy. Your girl must be proud." She winked at him.

"Oh! No please there must be a misunderstanding. I'm not dating anyone. I don't have a girlfriend." He smiled at her.

After hearing what he said, she suddenly looked confused. "Are you sure? Your looks tell me otherwise. Haha so if there is none, your soon to be girl will be so proud to have you." she said and told herself in her mind (hope it'll be me).

"Such a compliment from you. But still thank you. I wish someday, the girl and I would cross paths together." he replied giving her a hand to stand up.

"Thanks. I should be on my way home. It's already late." Katarina said.

Katarina went on her way before he can even offer to drive her home. She glanced back at him and waved goodbye for the day with a wide smile on her face.

"Whoo! I never thought this day would come." He told his self. After at least five minutes his phone vibrated. He took it from his pocket and saw a message from an unknown number. He opened it and as he read it he smiled. He even blushed.

The contents of the message is this: (Hey it's me Katarina. Thanks again for keeping me company and taking care of me. I'll see you tomorrow handsome. Lots of love, Kat)

After everything that happened a simple text like this makes his heart beat faster.

He decided to reply:
(Ok. See you then my beautiful friend)

Rm looked happy. She is the most amiable person he thought she can be. Why does it have to take him long to approach her. Maybe because he thinks she is guarded.

He went home singing love songs in his heart. He is looking forward to what tomorrow would offer.
