05 || Prisoners

I woke up to Iroh and Zuko talking. I rolled over onto my back and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and looked over to Zuko and Iroh.

"Good morning, Hai." Iroh said.

"Good morning." I said smiling, getting out of bed. I yawned and walked over to the window and looked out of it. The trees were beautiful. Suddenly, I noticed I forgot something.

"Good morning to you too Zuko." I say giving a smile to Zuko.

"Morning." He said in response.

"Zuko and I were going to go on a walk, you don't mind staying here do you?" Iroh asks.

"Not at all. Take all the time you need." I said smiling.

Iroh smiled back at me as Zuko and Iroh left the building. I sat back down on the bed, starring at the ground.

"Well... I got nothing else to do might as well... might as well go do.. huh. I guess I have nothing to do." I said to myself. I sighed. "OH!" I said out loud, "I'll just go explore the town!" I said.

I got out of bed and brushed my teeth with the brand new tooth brush's the woman gave to us. I then grabbed the hair brush and took my hair down. My hair was waist length. I've been growing it since I was a child. I brushed out my hair and put it back into the way I had it before. I then put on my shoes and headed out of the door. I have no idea where I'm going so I guess I'll just walk around.

I decided to walk to the stores to see if I could find something nice first. I made my way into town and went into the first store I saw. Most of the things there were famous items from the fire nation. I guess now I can assume we're somewhere in the fire nation, which isn't good for me.. good thing we're not in a popular town though. Nothing in the store got my interested so I decided to leave again.

"Thank you for coming!" The clerk says.

"The pleasure is mine!" I said back in response while walking out of the door.

I took a right and decided to head towards the bridge to look over the waterfall. While I was walking I felt a slight presence staring at the back of my head. I also felt a presence of something else.. it's somewhat far I can't explain it. It's a different feeling from the feeling of being watched.. more like a gut feeling I guess. I stopped and slightly turned my head, but not enough to see behind me. I decided to keep walking and shake it off. Not even two steps, I felt a tug on my robe.

"Mommy, why does she look like this?" A small girl asked, dressed in fire nation clothes. I didn't know what to say in response so I stood there slightly trying to back away from the grip holding to my robe.

"Sweetie, let her robe go, she's from the water tribe. She must be visiting." The mother then looked up at me as she grabbed her child's hand off of my robe, "I hope you enjoy the town. You're welcome anytime." She says giving me a smile.

"No! You're the other element, Fire Lord Ozai says other elements are incompetent!" The little girl says. I just stare at her in disbelieve. I knew the Fire Nation was bad but not teaching a 6 year old girl this stuff type of bad.

"Rin! Do not say those words EVER again. We don't listen to him. We welcome everyone!" The mother then looks up at me again. "I'm so sorry." She says as she looks down at her child and walks away.

"Well, that was quite rude." Iroh says from behind me. I quickly turn.

"You were standing there the whole time?!?" I ask.

"We just got here." Zuko says walking past me to the house. Navy.

"I got more shells secretly on our walk." Iroh says smiling showing me a bag hidden in his robe.
