Katsuki returned to the restaurant, a smile on his face.

"Is he on drugs," Sero whispered to Mina. "Obviously! He never smiles", she replied, also whispering.

"I can hear you, two idiots," Katsuki said, his smile falling replaced with his usual scowl. "There is the man we know and love", Sero said, sighing in mock relief. "Why were you smiling just then," Mina asked curiously. "Can't I just smile," Bakugo said, the pink-haired girl getting on his nerves. "No, you can't," she snorted. Katsuki rolled his eyes and walked to the back of the restaurant where he saw Kirishima eating some food.

"Soulmate?"

"I think so."

Kirishima grinned his shark teeth showing, and got up to hug Katsuki. Usually, Katsuki would pull away, but today he was feeling different and he returned the hug. "Take the night off, go find him." "Thank you, Ejiro. Really", Katsuki said with his backpack, stopping at the door. "Good luck", he replied.

This was the second time he heard it that night and he was grateful that people were on his side.

"Don't tell the gang. Please. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up or anything", Katsuki said growing anxious. Kirishima made the motion of closing his mouth with a zipper and key and he threw the key away at the end. Katsuki nodded and left Kirishima, walking to the train station.

He got on his usual train, the one he first met the green-haired, green-eyed boy on.

The one he was certain was his soulmate.

Izuku woke up late and texted his friends once more.

'I'm ok! I will see u guys at mina's on Saturday chill!!'

He rolled his eyes at the blatant lie.

He was not ok. Nor should they be chill.

He laid back on his bed, turning into a starfish and he sighed out loud. Mina's party was in three days. He couldn't be bothered to go, but he was loyal and kept his promises.

Unlike Ura.

Izuku shook the thought out of his head, laughing at how petty his inner voice was. He got up and opened the windows and turned up some music. He needed to cheer himself up and listening to crappy music and dancing around his house was the way to go. He played his 'happy playlist' and blasted it on his speakers, singing and dancing around his house. He attended to little things like fixing the couch and making his bed. He showered while dancing and singing almost slipping.

Izuku wasn't truly happy but fake it till you make it, right? That was the thought going through his head. He swayed his hips to the music, using a deodorant can, a hairbrush a broomstick, anything as a microphone. He pretended to be a superstar because he didn't want to face reality just yet. When his music finished he collapsed on the couch and turned on an anime and watched it to distract himself. He wasn't allowing his brain any wriggle room in regards to thinking about anyone.

He switched positions on the couch a million times, restless. His legs were draped over the armrest once, upside down another time, sitting criss-cross-apple-sauce another time. He eventually ended up on the cool floor, sprawled on the wooden planks. He paused his show and sat up. He went back to his room and laid in his bed, staring at the moon, wondering if his soulmate, the person who was motivating him to live, was staring at the same one.

Katsuki sat on the train where they had met all night. He stayed on it from the moment he left till the latest train stopped and the boy didn't come in. He felt his heartbreak slightly as he stared a the moon before arriving at his stop on the final ride. He stood up from his seat walking slowly. He stepped onto his platform and his eyes scanned the dimly lit station, finding no one but him. Chip bags and candy wrappers were being blown across the floor. Katsuki yelled in frustration kicking at the metal bench. "Fuck", he groaned out jumping and grabbing his toes which were now throbbing in pain.
