Chapter 7

It was now two days till Mina's party and Izuku seemed to be dreading it even more as it drew near. He was enjoying his days alone at home. He was trying to better himself. He watched all the stupid self-help videos and documentaries and was trying to implement them in his life. He did not want to act this sad around his soulmate and he wanted to try better for his parents.

Izuku began waking up early, trying to give himself a proper sleep schedule. He read his favourite book every morning while eating breakfast and he tried to go on a few walks, posting the view on his Instagram story because he did not want any of his friends worrying about him. He came home and faced the truth. Who was he kidding? He was already sick of this. And he thought he was already doing pretty good except for the increased amount of anxiety attacks that occurred, but he only brushed them to the side.

He was on his phone when his screen paused and 'Shinsoooooo <3' came up on his screen. He did not want to pick up the call. He wanted to return to Netflix and watch the new All-Might movie, missing and reminiscing on the times they spent together when he was younger. He groaned when he realised that Shinso would come over, uninvited if he didn't pick up. He clicked the green button and lifted his phone up to his ear.

"Hey, Shin!" Izuku smiled even though the purple-haired boy couldn't see him. "Hey, Izu. You're on the loudspeaker at the squad's restaurant. We have Mina, Kami, Sero, Kiri and Bakugo on the line and they can all hear you." Shinso explained.

Izuku's heart dropped and his face paled. He was so stupid. Of course! The angry blond on the train was the co-owner! That's why he was wearing the uniform and that's why Shinsou talked about him. He knew the name was familiar. He didn't want to talk a lot because he didn't want to risk the chance of the blond recognising him. "How are you guys? Excited for the party", Izuku said, his voice slightly higher and nasally to hide his normal voice. "You ok, Mido? You sound sick. And we are all excited! We actually wanted to check on you before the party. We heard about the whole Ochaco thing," he heard Kaminari say over the phone. "Oh, that! Haha, yes I am fine! Not sick. And I always knew that I was going to break up with Uraraka, I just didn't know when. Now I am waiting for my soulmate!"

He heard someone scoff over the phone and he was fairly certain it was the blond. He heard someone whisper an 'Ow' and someone being scolded. "Ignore those two idiots. And we will see you Saturday, yeah?" Kirishima asked. "Of course", Izuku replied still keeping his voice nasally and high. He did not want to speak to the blond at all, even if it was through mutual friends. He wanted to stay away from him. Forever, if possible. He honestly pitied the blond's soulmate.

What if he lashed out at his soulmate as he did towards Izuku?

"Cya! I have to watch the new season of Master Chef", he said quickly, his voice still nasally. He heard 'bye' from everyone but cut them off halfway. He did not want to stay on the phone, the blond's presence unnerving him. He began to tear up slightly when he remembered his tone as he was yelling at him. He clenched his eyes and fists, his nails digging into his palm. He opened his green eyes and blew out of his mouth, shaking his head his green hair shaking with him. He opened his eyes, walked out into the living room and turned on the TV, staying true to his word and began watching the new season. He heard a 'ding' from his phone and saw a message from his ex.

Ochaco.

Hey Izu!! Iida and I were having our celebration ceremony next Saturday. So not this one in two days, the one after. We were hoping you could join and we are so grateful you are not mad and jealous like we have heard other people say their ex was. We hope we can see you there because I really miss you as my friend and Iida says he wishes to be friends with you because he looks up to your composure... or something like that? Wasn't listing to hard, he was so cute aha! Anyway, please let us know if you can make it.
