Izuku was blushing heavily under the moonlight, his hand holding onto his soulmate's calloused hands. He was glad it was dark because although he did not know Katsuki that well, he was sure he would probably laugh at how flustered he was.
They were walking in silence on the sidewalk, Izuku just enjoying the buzz of cars passing by them. He was taking Katsuki to the city where he was sure the nightlife was thriving. He didn't know what to say, his mind once again running with hundreds of thoughts.
I can't believe I'm just leaving with him like this! Will Kirishima be worried? Why aren't I worried? People still get murdered by their soulmate's. Oh God, what if he kills me? He wouldn't. Right? No, he smells too good, like caramel. Stupid Midoriya! You can still be a murderer and smell good-
"What are you thinking about", Katsuki asked him, breaking the silence. "If you're a murderer or not", Izuku replied, not realising what had just happened. His eyes quickly widened as Katsuki's laugh brought him out of his trance.
"Shit. I didn't mean to say you were a murderer. You know better safe than sorry? I was just thinking about that case in the news a few years ago. I didn't mean to offend you, honest! I even came to the conclusion that you probably wouldn't kill me! Yeah, you smell like caramel. And I don't relate murder and caramel together. Ah! Sorry, that probably sounded weird. I'm not some weirdo who goes around sniffing people, I swear-"
Katsuki's laughter doubled and he was having trouble breathing. Izuku was red and he started laughing with his Katsuki, finding the humour in the situation. "You're such a nerd. Don't worry, I won't kill you... yet. Kidding!" Katsuki said, smiling after he caught his breath. Izuku seemed to blush more and scratched his neck with his free hand. "Thank you", he said giggling slightly.
Caught up with the laughter, Izuku didn't realise he was finally in the downtown stretch of the city. Lights lined each cafe, club, restaurant. Kids were running around, their parents worried, teenagers enjoying ice cream and adults taking shots acting as though nothing in the world mattered.
This was Izuku's favourite place. A place where he could forget everything and just live in the moment. He tried out every cafe, partied at every club and tried every flavour of ice cream. And the beach where he and his idol, All Might, cleaned was just down the boardwalk. He could never get tired of this place. He turned to Katsuki.
"Any place in particular?"
"Anywhere with you."

Katsuki watched Izuku blush at his flirty remark and a cocky smirk took over his face. Izuku rolled his eyes in an overexaggerated manner. Katsuki only continued smirking at him, squeezing Izuku's hand slightly.
"Where to?"
"Hm... Do you like fondue?"
Katsuki nodded his head at Izuku's question, now craving some strawberries and marshmallows in melted chocolate. He watched a cute smile take over his partner's face and stumbled slightly when Izuku pulled him forwards, running.
"Oi! Slow down! The store isn't going anywhere!"
"C'mon, they are always busy. We need to line up if we don't get there now!"
Katsuki rolled his eyes but continued to run with Izuku, holding hands. He finally came to a stop, Izuku letting go of his hands and standing in front of a cute chocolatier. The walls were all pink and it had a brass sign that was illuminated slightly. 'Petites Choses'. Katsuki frowned as one of the pink cherry blossom petals fell into his hair. Izuku giggle and reached up, on his tippy toes slightly to reach Katsuki's hair and ruffle the petal out.
