Chapter 14

Izuku made his way to the restaurant, reminiscing on the night before with Katsuki. A light blush was on his face all the way to Eataly where he greeted Aizawa with a smile and a wave. He apologised once more for being sick and away for the past week and Aizawa said it was fine.

Izuku was now behind the bar pouring soda's, cocktails, mocktails and anything else someone had ordered. It was still afternoon so not that many people sat on the bar, rather families eating together, but he still had the occasional customer come and sit, making light conversation.

Izuku was humming to the music that was playing and poured one virgin pina-colada into an hourglass-shaped glass and set it in front of him with a small napkin and umbrella. "One virgin pina-colada- Shinso!"

Shinso smiled at Midoriya, noticing that he seemed happier. His green hair was tied back in a cute baby ponytail with random wisps of the hair out at the front, framing his face. Izuku's face adorned a pink blush and his smile seemed genuine, different to the ones he had been receiving recently. Izuku tucked a piece of his hair being his ear, hitting his earring slightly. His smile wasn't leaving his face and he was humming at work. The last time Izuku had been this happy was when he caught up with All Might. But rather than emotions of admiration and satisfaction radiating from Izuku, emotions of infatuation and happiness were beaming off the boy in vibrant rays.

"Hey, Izu! I heard you sorta disappeared from the party and Kami and I were worried. I mean we trust you to stay safe but we still were a little nervous since the trains were closed when you left." Izuku nodded and smiled again. "Yeah, don't worry. I got home in the end! I didn't mean to worry you, but some stuff happened last night that I had to deal with," Izuku explained, his voice light and happy.

Shinso nodded thoughtfully and took a sip from his drink. Everyone at the party was too drunk to remember anything that happened so he was trying to piece everything together. He heard from Kirishima and Mina about the fight that happened between Izuku and Katsuki but he did not want to pry. Izuku would tell him eventually, they were best friends and he could wait.

"Did you have fun last night?" Shinso began to stir his drink with the straw, the mini umbrella between his teeth. Izuku nodded happily, his curls flying everywhere. "Yeah! It was so much fun! I mean, at the beginning of the night I drank so much it was crazy. And then, I went on the stage doing God knows what and it was so good. I went to get fondue after and went to the beach it was so much fun! Thank you for taking me." Shinso laughed at how cute Izuku was talking. His voice and facial expressions were very animated but this was one of the qualities that made Izuku so appealing. He's like a puppy!

Izuku smiled once more and turned around to the back of the bar to grab different liquors. Shinso's eyes wandered around the collection of glass bottles until he heard Izuku humming again. He turned his eyes to the back of Izuku's head, his eyes trailing down to Izuku's collar that was messed up.

"Hey, Izuku. Your collar is messed up, come here."

Shinso watched Izuku's eyes widen comically. "N-no. It's fine, haha. I don't really get in trouble for it." Shinso narrowed his eyes at Izuku's now blushing and stuttering frame. Something was up. "It's fine, come here. Let me fix it." He watched Izuku's eyes and felt that he was having an internal battle.

"Fine," Izuku mumbled, backing up and turning around. Shinso began to straighten the collar when he noticed something different on Izuku's back.

"Holy shit!"

"Sh!" Izuku replied to Shinso's yell. He kept lowering his hands, palms down, to indicate that Shinso should lower his voice. Shinso's eyes were wide and his mouth had dropped open. It seemed like he could not even form a sentence to acknowledge what he just saw.
