Hallie's POV

I whipped my head around and unstraped the blared from my feet. Then I ran, well, really hopped-struggled my way over to Dad, laying down beneath a large pine.

"My, my back" He managed to stammer. I waisted no time unstrapping him from the board, and managing to push him onto it. I layed kinda flat, with my feet pushing to board up the hill and hands holding on and steering. I had to make it up the mountain.

When I reached the summit, the paramedics were already there.

"You did a great job of getting him here. Are there any family members here?" A man asked me. I thought for a moment. Of course, of all the days that Mom would be gone with my brothers, this was the day.

"No, just me." I told him back. They finished loading Dad into the helicopter, and the man I spoke to ushered me inside. We flew down the hill, and I wouldn't let my hand lose dad's. I wouldn't let me lose my dad.
