Chapter 6 Flower Crowns

_Roman's POV_

I left the room in complete and utter worry for him. I had many questions running through my head all at once.

'Why did he looked so scared?

Did we hurt him somehow?

Why.

Why.

Why!'

It would be wrong to deny my feelings towards him but I don't think that he'll return them. Then the pieces suddenly came together.

'This is...my fault.' A heartbreaking statement went through my head.

I balled my hands in the sudden anger at myself but let them go knowing that wasn't the answer...I can't be violent not to him or anyone else. I let the thoughts go as I decided to check on Patton. I went to the living room to find him asleep in Logan's embrace.

"Hey Lo?"

"Yes, Roman?"

"Do you know what's wrong with Virgil?"

"Not exactly why? Is there something wrong?"

"He's just been seeming off ever since he came back."

"Well considering the actions he took he doesn't seem fine."

I stayed silent before rubbing my neck.

"...Is there anything I can do to help him?"

"Well, I sometimes see him late at night on a small hill where the glow flowers are at(Glow flowers are just self-explanatory). I asked him why was he there and he just said that he enjoys it there when he couldn't sleep or just to get away so he wouldn't 'bother' Thomas." He said with air quotes.

"The glow flower patch? Why there?"

"Well if you haven't been paying attention he had one of those flowers in his room. I asked him if he could get one for me for an experiment and he just gave me his instead. He goes there to calm himself down or to get some fresh air."

"Oh, should I take him there then?" I asked.

"I might as well take Patton along he likes to go outside for occasions like this."

"How about 7:30 then?"

"Yeah, I guess we can do it then but first you'd have to convince Virgil to tag along." He said while taking off his glasses to rub his eyes.

"Do I have to?"

He only sighed and nodded carefully while putting his glasses back on.

"Roman you need to talk to him and calm him down a bit. I know doesn't seem like much but he'll appreciate it and maybe start talking about what's really going on with him."

"Wait how do you know about this?" I asked in a suspicious tone.

"Well, he opens up to me when somethings wrong because he knows that I won't tell anyone about his personal things and only give advice to others if they bring him up somehow."

"He opened up to you?!?" I asked in surprise.

"Actually yes but I have no interest in him if that's what you're wondering. Besides I'm dating Patton and Virgil's not my type (sorry for the people who ship them together I'm a muti-shipper and I like most of them myself.). I only consider him as a friend nothing more."
