I woke up on the bathroom floor and I couldn't feel my arms or legs at all. I looked at the blade on the floor and my eyes widened when it wasn't cleaned like it usually was. I tried my best to stand up only to cover my scream of the utter pain I was in. I leaned onto the sink and carefully got onto the counterpart of it. I grabbed a cloth and cleaned up the blood-filled mess I've created for myself. Once I was finished cleaning it I stumbled into my room. I took off the now blood-stained shirt and tossed it into the small laundry basket that I've kept in the corner for god knows how long. I put a new shirt on and I plugged my phone into its charger and face planted into my pillows. It wasn't long until I heard a knock on the door.
"What..." I said in my hoarse voice.
"Oh god- umm are you ok Virgil?" Roman said concerned.
"I-I'm fine just a...sore throat," I said coughing mid-sentence
"Hold on I'll be back ok."
"A-alright."
I heard Roman shout something and I instantly snapped my fingers to get into my onesie (He does that when he gets lazy to change). The outfit I changed into stripped off the bandages and put concealer over them instead so they wouldn't know what horrible mistakes I've made. I unlocked the door and flopped onto my bed not wanting to get up anymore. Roman and Patton came bursting into my room in worry while Logan just walked in there as a normal person would.
"Virgil! Are you ok son?!?" Patton said.
"I'm fine just tired."
"Can you stand properly?" Logan said examining my current state.
"No..."
"Can you stand at all?"
"Not now."
"Alright Roman since you're able to carry him I'll let you do so," Logan stated blankly.
Just like that he scoped me into his arms and carried me downstairs. Since I couldn't really fight back I held onto him for dear life hoping he wouldn't drop me by mistake. He put me on the couch and left to get something. Logan came into the room with a thermometer and checked if I have a fever or not.
"So once you get better would you like to speak to Dr. Picani about anything?" Logan asked me in a low voice so no one could hear him.
"I don't know should I?"
"You might have to."
"I know it's just complicated sometimes."
"Alright since you're running a fever so I'm going to get you some medicine I'll be back in a while."
He left the room and the prince came back with blankets and pillows and tossed them onto the couch right on me. I soon shuffled through the blankets and poking my head out.
"What is this for," I asked catching one of the things he threw.
"Trust me stormcloud this is what I do when I'm sick and it always works." He said grabbing the remote and put it on 'The Nightmare Before Christmas.'
"So relaxing on the couch and watching Disney is how you get better?" I asked in disbelief.
"Until Logan comes back with the required medicine then yes. Now get yourself comfortable ease up a bit."
I couldn't help but smile at his actions. Maybe I do have some feelings for the Prince but he'd probably have the same feelings for me...right? I curled up in the blankets and pillows and watched the movie. Roman came back and sat on the couch with me. I didn't know what to do so I just threw one of the blankets at him.
"Huh? What's this for?" He asked.
"No reason."
I don't know why but he pulled me into his arms and I just buried my face into his chest.
"Cold?"
"Yeah."
"You just need rest I'll let you know when Logan comes back alright?"
I nodded as my face flushed a deep red realizing what I was doing. He wrapped his arms around me. My eyes were slowly closing. Finally, they shut and I fall into unconsciousness once more...
_Roman's POV_
Once the movie was over I played some other show (You can choose if you want to) and just left it on there. I saw that Virgil was finally asleep in my arms. He looked peaceful for once so I didn't dare to move. I heard a hushed squeal and a small chuckle coming from the other side of the room.
"Awe you look so cute together!" He said bouncing excitedly.
"Well, I see that you two have been getting along haven't you," Logan said putting the medicine on the coffee table.
"I guess but I'm just comforting him you know-"
"Falsehood what are you feeling right now," Logan said interrupting my sorry excuse of a lie.
"I don't know."
"Let me ask you this." He started while sitting in a chair. "How do you actually feel around him. Don't lie this time."
"I guess I feel...nice around him," I said.
"Well, that concludes it then."
"Guys it's not like that."
"Then why are you blushing kiddo?" Patton said with a smirk.
"I'm b-blushing?"
"Yup!"
"Deny it all you want Roman but admit it. You like him and he might like you." Logan admitted.
"...No he couldn't like me after all I did."
"Well you've changed and matured didn't you?"
A few seconds go by in silence. Did I actually have feelings for him? Or did I just feel bad? I took another glance at his face and my face became a darker crimson. He's...cute like this. Why? I wasn't sure.
"Maybe your right about the change thing but maybe not maturity."
"I see. Come along now Patton."
Logan went to his room while Patton followed right behind him. I watched the show for a while longer until I forgot the medicine on the coffee table. I didn't want to wake him but I knew I had to. I grabbed the medicine and looked at it. It was just painkillers so I put the bottle back. I shook the anxious side gently just enough to wake him up. All I heard was a groan from him as he looked up at me. He wasn't fully awake yet but just enough for him to take the meds.
"What...?" He said wincing at the light from the window.
"You have to take these so your fever can vanish ok?"
He only nodded meekly while getting the bottle and the glass of water on the table. He took the medicine and I pulled him back into my arms. He buried his face into my chest while pulling a blanket over himself. I soon shut my eyes and fall into the abyss of sleep.
