Ryu's POV)I was on the roof a maximum of two minutes before I heard him. He was trying to be quiet.
He failed.
"I'm assuming my wife told you where to find me."
"That and Vince also mentioned that you're a fan of rooftops." Giovanni said.
He walked over and stood beside me as I looked out over the city. For the next minute or so he stared at me without a saying a word.
"Is there something you need?"
"Vince said you're retired. Living the peaceful life."
"I am."
"That mean you're not going to find who did this to your friend? You're okay with letting them go and not figuring out why they did it?"
"I don't know what all Vincenzo told you, but I'm not one who cares about others. My wife is the only one who matters to me."
"He did mention something about that." Gio smirked.
"Is that Vince's only reason for coming here? To help find who did this?"
"That is a big part of it. He also has legitimate business to do here."
"Mhmm."
"Plus, he says that he misses you."
I rolled my eyes.
"He also said that you two have to compare kill counts to see if he has gone into the lead yet."
"You going to leave when he gets here?"
"Quite possibly, but I may stick around if things get interesting." He grinned.
"You mean if I get involved?"
"Yeah. Vince said that seeing you fight is a sight to behold and for him to say that...... you must really be something. He also said it is very entertaining."
"I am glad that I can provide entertainment for him."
Gio laughed. "He was right about your humor. It is funny."
I gave him a side glance. "I wasn't being funny."
He ignored me and glanced at his watch. "I have to get going for now. Places to be and things to do before he gets here."
I said nothing as he started walking back towards the door. I did glance back and chuckle when I saw him briefly check his pockets.
Just as he walked back inside, Aria walked out.
"It's cold out here." She said as she walked over to me.
"Then why are you out here?"
"Because you are." She smiled. She stood in front of me which caused me to automatically grab her waist.
"What have I said about getting close to the edge?" I growled out.
"To stay far away from it."
"Then why did you just place yourself inches away from it?"
"Because yo-"
"That is not an acceptable answer."
She stuck her lip out in a pout.
I took several large steps back and dragged her with me and then I turned us so that my back was to the edge. She then unzipped my jacket and placed her arms around me, so that my jacket was covering us both.
I just shook my head.
"What did you and Gio talk about?"
"Unimportant things. Waste of my time."
"I think he is nice."
"You also like Vince and you married me. Can't really trust your decisions can we?"
She pinched my back. "Would you rather I marry someone else?"
"F*ck no. You're mine and only mine. I would break the motherf*ckers spine."
She laughed and stood on her tip-toes to kiss me before laying her head against my chest.
"How is Aimoto?" I asked.
"Doctor said his brain is still swelled. They may have to do more surgery." She said softly as I rubbed soothing circles on her back.
"He'll be okay. He is stubborn and to big of a pain in the ass to die anytime soon."
"I hope you are right."
"I am always right, Koneko."
"It's one of your many charming qualities." She grinned, looking up at me.
"Keyword there is many." I winked.
"Why else would I marry you if not for your charming qualties?"
"Maybe because I said I'd break the spine of any other f*cker you'd even dream about marrying."
"I would never. I have standards and you are the only one that meets them all."
"F*ck yeah I am."
"Should I stay the night here tonight?" She asked quietly.
"Probably. I have things..... to do and I would feel better if I knew you were here."
"Then here is where I will stay. That couch in Aimoto's room is actually pretty comfy."
"I will bring you a change of clothes in the morning. Okay?"
"Okay. Promise you will be careful?"
"Always." I said as I kissed her forehead.
I walked back downstairs with her and didn't leave until she had fallen asleep on the couch. On my way out, I stepped over to Aimoto's side and placed my hand on his.
"I will find who did this and I will make them pay. I promise." I whispered quietly.
Obviously I didn't get a response,
But his fingers did move slightly.
The doctors always say that they don't know if comatose people can hear you, but I believe that he heard me. I also believed that he would survive. Like I said, he is to big of a pain in the ass to die on us now.

SURPRISE!!
(Gio's POV)"Had a chat with your man on the roof."
"You did? Check your pockets?"
"I did but nothing. He is a very...... unique guy."
"You don't even know the half of it. What did he say?"
"Said he is still retired, not going to get involved, and he does not care."
He chuckled. "Sounds like him."
"Believe him?"
"For the most part."
"Why just for the most part?"
"Because I know Aimoto is the person he cares about the most after Aria. I think there is still a very good chance he will try to figure everything out and get justice."
"And if he does?"
"Then we are in for one hell of a f*cking show."
