It Would Be Fun, Don't You Think? {k. akaashi x fem!reader}

Chapter 6

"So then it's Akaashi making you so happy," I said casually.

She whipped her head to me, eyes wide as saucers. I glanced at her neck, the hickey now very visible.

"I figured."

Did he just say that? I couldn't help but stare at him in shock. How much did he know? A smile formed on Ennoshita's face. 

"What kind of person do you take me for Y/N? You're easy to read. Plus, I saw the two of you walk in together," he pointed to my neck.  "And the hickey."

I brought a hand to my neck. "I- I just- Well you know- Sometimes- It's- Um-"

Ennoshita cut me off, taking me by the shoulders and shaking me. "Breathe. Collect your thoughts. But I want to know everything."

We decided to take our showers for the night and meet at a halfway spot, Shinzen's auditorium, so I could tell Ennoshita the whole story. The good thing about this training camp is we were allowed to roam around the campus at night. The only rules in place were that we couldn't enter the buildings at night and we weren't allowed in the opposite gender's sleeping quarters at any time.

It was close to 11 p.m. when I got to the auditorium entrance. There were a few people walking around, mostly Shinzen students. I approached the entrance of the auditorium and saw Ennoshita sitting on the steps. I finally reached him, sat down, and laid my head on his shoulder.

"So, what's been going on, kid?"

"Chikara, I'm older than you."

He flicked my forehead. "And?" I rubbed the spot he hit. He leaned his head on top of mine. "Actually, before Akaashi, do you know what you're doing for your birthday?"

"I haven't really given it thought. But it's two weeks away, so maybe I'll think of something"

"I figured as much. Okay- spill the beans."

I spent the next few minutes explaining to him what had happened for the first three days. His reaction looked amused throughout the whole time. 

"Oh and he saw you hold my hand that one morning and asked about you."

"Ooooh, is he jealous?"

I smacked his leg playfully. "I doubt it. But there's more to it than that I think."

"Now for the juicy part, what's with the hickey?"

I turned away from him, burying my face in my hands. 

"Come onnnnnnnnn, you have to tell meee!!" Ennoshita poked my sides, making me squirm.

"Do I have to?"

"Yes! We're best friends, we tell each other everything. We're so close I know your period starts in a few days."

"Wait, does it actually?" I pulled out my phone for my period tracker. He's right, my period is calculated for Sunday. "That's creepy."

"That just proves my point." He flashed me a goofy grin.

"Fine, fine. But no inappropriate comments, I beg you." He pretended to zip his mouth shut and throw away the key. "I was doing my manager things and collecting water bottles to store them. I was supposed to store them in gymnasium 3, which is where he hangs out after the practice matches are done. Him and a few others were playing a 3-on-3 when Kuroo-san asked me to stay. Since I had to collect the bottles they were using, I agreed. When they were done I went to the storage closet and Akaashi offered to put them away for me."
