Akaashi and I walked through the mall, finally done with the shopping. Well, I was really the only one shopping. I had to pick up Ennoshita's gift and grab gift cards to give everyone on Thursday. Akaashi was just being a good boyfriend and tagging along, helping me pick stuff out and scanning aisles as I searched for what I needed.
"You sure you got everything you came for?" Akaashi asked as we left the big department store at the head of the mall.
"Like 99% sure. Because I got your gifts last week and right now I got Chikara's Christmas gift, things for his birthday gift, and a gift card for everyone else. I should be good," I said, checking everything off of the mental list in my head. I met his eyes to see them squinted at me. "What's that look for?"
"You said 'gifts'." I tilted my head in confusion. "I told you you didn't have to get me anything. And you got more than one."
"Ohh, that. I guess I technically only got you one. And it's not something that big, another practical gift. The other is for both of us, and I'm giving it to you on Chri-" My eyes landed on a familiar figures, one with dark brown hair and the other with lighter brown hair, and they were holding hands. My jaw dropped at the sight before me.
"What?" Akaashi followed my gaze, scanning the groups of people. "What are you-" His jaw dropped, too.
"I can't believe that bitch didn't tell me!" I fished out my phone from my coat pocket.
Calling... chika-chan🤢💛
From a distance, Akaashi and I watched as Ennoshita and Amari jumped, pulling their hands away from each other. Ennoshita gave her an apologetic smile as he pulled his phone out, raising an eyebrow once he saw the screen.
"Y/N, you okay?"
"How's your date, Chika-chan?"
"Huh?" Ennoshita whipped his head around until his eyes landed on me and Akaashi. I raised my hand and wiggled my fingers in a wave. "You're mad."
"Mad's a strong word. But your ass has a lot of explaining to do. We'll be home around 5, if you want to stop by any time after that, and I think you want to." Akaashi nudged me, laughing and shaking his head at my words.
"A- Alright. I'll see you later."
"Tell Amari I said hi. And be a gentleman."
"I don't need you to tell me to be a gentleman."
"Yeah, yeah. Have fun, lover boy." I hung up the phone, turning to Akaashi. "I seriously can't believe he didn't tell me they had a date!"
"Do you think he told the others?" He draped an arm around my shoulders and led us out the exit.
"If he didn't tell me, I highly doubt he would have told the others. Maybe the third years, but I'll choose to believe if he didn't tell me, he told no one." I thought about last night, seeing Amari and Ennoshita sitting together. I was aware they had been talking whenever I was at work, they both had seemed into each other. He just never mentioned they were spending time together besides that. "Do you think he didn't mention it on purpose?" My voice came out sadder than I meant it.
"Baby, I didn't mean anything by it." He hugged me into his side, kissing my cheek. "I'm sure it just slipped his mind, or maybe he wanted to wait to see how today went. I mean it's not like you told him right away about us, right?"
I smiled, remembering the night I told Ennoshita everything. "I guess I didn't. He saw the mark on my neck the night we kissed and made me tell him. I hadn't told him about the days before until then."
