your p.o.v. *two months later, a Friday afternoon*

I was in the last part of my shift at an ice cream parlor, wanting to get the day over with and spend the evening with my boyfriend. I walked into the sitting area, rag in hand to wipe down the tables. At the counter stood my co-worker, Iwaizumi Hajime, who had just started his shift. He had dark, spiked-up hair, green/grey eyes, and usually wore a serious expression. But he was really nice. "Hajime-senpai," I called out.

"Y/N, my favorite kōhai!"

"Your only kōhai," I corrected him. By the time I got here Iwaizumi had been working for a couple months, making me the newest worker here.

"How much of your shift is left, kid?"

"Like 10 minutes maybe? The last stretch of the day."

He hummed in acknowledgement, going back to his duties at the register. I walked over to the other side of the counter and began to organize the cup sizes and clean up what little mess there was.

After a while of silence, the bell on the front door went off, signaling it had been opened. Iwaizumi and I called out a 'Welcome' like we were supposed to. I heard Iwaizumi give the usual counter introduction and ask for the customer's order.

A familiar voice spoke up. "Plain cookies and cream. Medium."

"Sure thing."

I looked up to meet the speaker's eyes. "Hey, beautiful."

From behind me I heard shuffling and the clearing of a throat. "Hey, man. She has a boyfriend."

I smirked. "Hey yourself." I crashed my lips to the boy in front of me.

"Y/N!"

I pulled back, trying to hold my laugh in. "He is my boyfriend, Hajime." I hopped over the counter and stood next to Akaashi.

"So you talk about me?" Akaashi asked before placing a kiss to my cheek. I nodded, a big smile on my face.

"Well, then. Iwaizumi Hajime, nice to meet you." Iwaizumi held a hand out.

Akaashi took the hand for a shake. "Akaashi Keiji." I looked at the two boys in front of me.

"What's that look for?" Iwaizumi asked

"You two.." My eyes kept darting back and forth. "You two look weirdly alike."

They looked at each other curiously. "Baby, I think it's just you," Akaashi replied.

"I don't know, man. We could be brothers," Iwaizumi joked.

Akaashi's eyes squinted. I took the chance to take him in. He was in his school uniform: grey blazer, white button up, blue and white striped tie, and black pants. He had his overnight bag slung over his shoulder. "You look handsome in your uniform." He turned his attention back to me. From the corner of my eye, I saw Iwaizumi fixing up Akaashi's order. "I was supposed to meet you at the station, Keiji."

"I know, but I got here earlier than expected. I thought it would be nice to surprise you."

"It is nice." I noticed the clock at the front of the store now said it was 6 p.m., meaning I was finally out. "I'm gonna go change and clock out," I said and quickly placed a kiss to his cheek. I went to the employee restroom and changed back into some of my school uniform: white blouse, grey skirt, the socks and dress shoes. I went to the side pocket of my bag and got out my ring, the teal gem sparkling. I slipped it on and clocked out before walking back to the main area. Akaashi and Iwaizumi were talking, both of them with their resting faces on. To anyone else it would've seemed like they disliked each other, but to me, it looked like a good sign.
